🍂🌙. Long before witches were feared, these symbols marked women of power, wisdom, and spiritual authority.
🧙🏻♀️The Hat — Tall, pointed headdresses were worn by priestesses and shamans on the Eurasian steppe and in medieval Europe. A crown linking Earth and Sky, signaling divine connection and sovereignty.
🧹The Broom — Not just a household tool, but a sacred staff of the Earth priestess. Used to purify space, move energy, and connect heaven and earth.
✨ Flying Ointment — Blends of belladonna, mandrake, and henbane allowed visionary journeys and spirit flight. Legends of witches riding brooms may stem from these sacred practices.
🐈⬛The Black Cat — Ancient guardian and shadow companion, aiding women in divination, protection, and unseen work. Misunderstood as evil, it has always been a guide and protector of women’s sacred power.
Together, these symbols form a lineage of feminine sovereignty, intuition, and communion with unseen realms.
The witch was never wicked — she was a wise woman who walked between worlds.
🔮 This Samhain, honor the sacred lineage of women who walked between worlds, carried wisdom, and danced with mystery. Join us for our Reclaim the Witch event happening in person this Friday- there are still spots open!
