Been realizing lately…

I’m not actually starting over.

Every breakdown, business pivot, heartbreak, shutdown, betrayal, and rebuild gave me deeper embodiment, sharper systems, stronger discernment, and more wisdom.

Right now life feels wildly uncertain in some ways.

But I’m done hiding until everything is “perfect” again.

I want to share the real journey this time.

The fear.

People do not remember retreats because they're pretty .

They remember them because something inside of them changed there.

Because they finally slowed down long enough to hear themselves again.

Because they had the breakthrough conversation.
The cry they’d been holding in for years.
The moment where they realized they were no longer available for the life they had been settling for.

That’s the power of intentional spaces.

And honestly… this is why I care so deeply about helping facilitators build retreats that are rooted in actual transformation — not just aesthetics, trends, and “spiritual influencer” culture.

My heart ached with the weight of the world's problems.

I grew up in a chaotic but loving home, learning to tune into the needs of others.

Solving problems to end the suffering became my way to feel essential, a way to prove my worth.

But beneath that determination was a deep fear of not being good enough.

Fixing things for others was my desperate attempt to earn the love I craved, a tangled knot of good intentions and hidden insecurity.

This pattern intensified in my following relationships, where I clung to the belief that if I could make others happy, then perhaps I too would finally deserve happiness. I believed if I could just see them more happy and less angry, fix him, and make everything okay, then he would finally appreciate me, love me, and see me as truly worthy.

In my desperation to be loved, my rescuer habits amplified.

This took an even more drastic turn when I entered a relationship with a man battling stage 4 kidney failure. My Rescuer instincts went into overdrive. I became his caretaker, his lifeline on that journey, sacrificing my own well-being in a desperate attempt to fix his health, convinced that my love and devotion could somehow save him.

Unconsciously, throughout that relationship, the pull towards rescuing remained. I sought out situations where I could be the savior, the problem-solver, unconsciously believing my worth depended on my ability to constantly help others.

Like many of us, the seeds of my people-pleasing were planted early.

As a child, I was praised for being easygoing, adaptable, always willing to go with the flow. "What a good girl," they would say. The echoes of those subtle affirmations became my guiding star – if I could just make everyone else happy, then perhaps I would, at last, be worthy.

In my early adult life came the toxic marriage, a suffocating vortex where my desperation to be loved amplified every people-pleasing habit.

Every word, every action, became a calculated dance, a frantic attempt to prove my worth. The more I twisted myself into something I was not, the further I drifted from the truth of my soul.

And yet, even after leaving that corrosive environment, I discovered that the patterns of the people-pleaser had become ingrained.

Unconsciously, I slipped back into familiar habits, trading my own truth for fleeting moments of validation in new situations, with new faces.

The cycle continued, and the weight of unspoken expectations grew heavier with each passing day.
