We are the global leader in integrated Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) Technology for those recovering from a neurological impairment resulting in weakness and/or paralysis. At Restorative Therapies we design and market Functional Electrical Stimulation therapy systems to help people with a neurological impairment achieve their full potential.

Our new blog post is live!

Before you share the next FES research claim, ask what the study actually supports. For clinicians, patients, and caregivers, evaluating Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) technology and research starts with looking beyond the headline.

Was the work peer-reviewed?
How many people participated?
What did researchers measure?
Who funded it?
Are the outcomes meaningful for the people receiving therapy?

At Restorative Therapies, we believe asking better questions belongs in every conversation about neurorehabilitation, including conversations about our own technology.

Our latest blog offers a practical starting point for reading FES research with greater confidence: https://bit.ly/3WiPBoR

Save it for your next class, team discussion, or conversation with your rehabilitation provider.

Four clinicians and researchers. Two technologies. One question rehab teams keep asking: How do FES and non-invasive spinal stimulation fit together in real clinical practice?

That's the conversation this Thursday at , and our own Laurie Magerfleisch, PT, DPT, Senior Clinical Educator at Restorative Therapies, is on the panel.

She's presenting alongside:
→ Ashraf Gorgey, MPT, PhD | Central Virginia VA Medical Center (lead presenter)
→ David R. Dolbow, PT, DPT, PhD, RKT | William Carey University
→ Candy Tefertiller, PT, DPT, PhD | Craig Hospital

Thinking about FES cycling as part of your rehabilitation journey?

Not every FES cycling system offers the same features, flexibility, or support.

Whether you're navigating recovery after a stroke, living with a spinal cord injury, or managing another neurological condition, understanding your options matters.

Before choosing a system, ask about:

✅ How integrated FES works with cycling

✅ Options for personalizing therapy

✅ Progressive resistance and long-term activity goals

✅ Clinical training and support

✅ Opportunities to continue therapy at home

At Restorative Therapies, we believe access to information helps patients, families, and clinicians make confident decisions.

Every movement starts somewhere. Ours started with spinal cord injury.

As Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to look back at the history of Restorative Therapies and the people who helped shape it.

What began with a focus on helping people living with spinal cord injury access advanced rehabilitation technology has grown into a broader mission: helping people living with paralysis and neurological impairment reach their full recovery potential.

Over the years, that mission has expanded across spinal cord injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain injury, cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions.

The technology has evolved. The clinical applications have expanded. But the reason behind the work has remained constant. People deserve meaningful opportunities to participate in their rehabilitation, in the clinic and at home.

In our newest blog, Laurie Magerfleisch PT, DPT, takes us through the story of Restorative Therapies, from an idea centered around SCI rehabilitation to the development of integrated FES technology used in neurorehabilitation today.

"From an Idea to a Movement: A Brief History of Restorative Therapies" is live on the RTI blog now!

Day 1 at AMRPA Fall 2026 is underway in Austin!

If you are attending, stop by Booth 18 and meet the Restorative Therapies team.

See integrated FES in action and get hands-on with:
1. The RT300, our integrated FES therapy system for massed-practice, progressive-resistance cycling
2. Xcite2, with 40+ coordinated integrated FES activities for upper extremity, lower extremity and functional rehabilitation
3. A sneak preview of our new home FES device coming soon

Come talk with our team about bringing integrated FES into your rehabilitation program and supporting continuity from the clinic to home.

AMRPA 2026 | September 27-30 | Austin, Texas | Booth 18

Inpatient rehabilitation leaders are being asked to do something difficult: demonstrate functional outcomes, manage length of stay, and extend recovery beyond discharge, all at the same time.

Integrated FES sits at that intersection. The RT300 supports massed-practice, progressive-resistance FES cycling. Xcite2 delivers more than 40 coordinated task-specific functional activities. Both carry the same patient settings from the rehabilitation unit into the home through RTILink, so the program a clinician builds during the stay does not end at discharge.

For a facility, that continuity matters Restorative Therapies supports carryover and helps address the secondary complications that drive readmission.

Our leadership and clinical teams will be at Booth 18 all week:
Jim Jancki, President and Chief Executive Officer
Jennifer Van Norman, OTR/L, Vice President, Domestic Sales
Will Larson, Business Development Representative, National Accounts
Lisa Matter, OTR/L, Territory Sales Manager, South Central
Lauren Norris, PT, DPT, NCS, Clinical Sales Representative, South Central

Come see the systems in person, talk through patient selection with a clinician, and tell us what your programs need. Restorative Therapies has spent more than 20 years in integrated FES, with technology in over 1,000 clinics and 5,000 homes. We are still learning the most from the people running the units.

Stop by Booth 18. RT300 and Xcite2 are prescription devices.

We are so grateful to our partners Chanda Center for Health for their commitment to advanced technology and treatment for their patients. We are thankful they chose Restorative Therapies to provide the RT300 and Xcite2 integrated FES!
