To our studio family, clients, and community,
Over the past several weeks, you may have noticed a pause in my chair time and slower communication on my books. Today, I’m ready to share what’s been going on behind the scenes—and more importantly, to share some great news.
About six weeks ago, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Anyone who knows me personally, or who has worked with me over the years, knows one fundamental truth about how I live my life: I am a fighter, and I don’t quit. No matter the odds, I face every challenge head-on with everything I’ve got. This was no different.
Three weeks ago, I underwent surgery to remove the cancer. The fight required patience, focus, and grit, but I am proud, humble, and deeply grateful to say that we won this round. I am officially on the other side of it, healing ahead of schedule, and cleared to step back into the studio. …AND, am now 100% cancer free!😎
To the clients whose appointments had to be adjusted: thank you endlessly for your patience, grace, and support. Taking care of you and your trust means the world to me, and rescheduling those pieces was one of the hardest parts of stepping away.
My hands are rock-steady, my focus is razor-sharp, and the hunger to create world-class art is stronger than it has ever been. To make sure every single piece receives the uncompromising standard of excellence and luxury experience our studio is known for, I will be pacing my schedule deliberately over the next couple of weeks as my stamina catches up to my drive.
To every man reading this: please do not neglect your routine screenings and checkups. Early detection gave me the upper hand in this fight, and it can save your life too.
The fight is behind us. Now, it’s time to get back to what I love most.
I’ll see you in the chair.
