At a Women’s Livelong Health summit. Dr. Stacey Simms really hit home this am talking about technology, tracking and AI. Most of us use some sort of tracking ( oura rings and smart watches). We also plug out health information ( labs etc) into AI to get information and action plans. As women we need to be mindful of how much weight we put into this. A lot of the data and interpretation is based on MEN. Do you ever get a great sleep score but feel exhausted or a low body battery score but feel great. How about waking up to a warning that “ something is really stressing your body” … which then kind of stresses you out. Tech is here to stay. Hopefully it will continue to improve and prioritize women’s data. It can certainly be useful but we have to be mindful of how reliant we become on it. Pics from some of the queens we saw so far !!

PSA for ladies who are trying to navigate menopause hormone therapy. I just need a minute to scream into the void. Women deserve better. Women should not have to call around to six different pharmacies to find Simple generic estradiol patches. What is happening from a provider standpoint is that when patients are unable to find the patches a lot of times we are switching over to gel. Immediately we get a prior authorization request, which is time-consuming and mostly fruitless because they will send back a denial saying that you need to go with the patches( THAT ARE NOT AVAILABLE) . I am also having multiple women reach out to me saying that their previous patches were working fine and when they switched brands all of a sudden they don’t feel well. I am checking serum levels on some of these women and they in fact, have no detectable estrogen even being on high-dose patches.
Fortunately Mark Cubans Cost plus has the gel for around $20 a month.
Also, there are other forms of estrogen. Some women are candidates for oral, there is a three month vaginal ring, and there is a spray called Evamist although it’s pricey.
Women deserve better.
