At 35, Amy discovered a lump in her breast. What followed was a journey through healthcare barriers, uncertainty, and treatment. ๐

"One night, I woke up in the middle of the night, stretched, and felt a lump in my breast. I had just started a new job and didn't have health insurance, which made it difficult to find someone who would see me.
I decided to go to HerScan and paid $295 out of pocket during my lunch break. After my ultrasound, the sonographer encouraged me to get a mammogram and make an appointment with a doctor.
The entire process was hard because of the insurance challenges. I first went to HerScan in October, but because of the challenges I faced accessing care, I didn't receive an official diagnosis from my medical care team until January. By the time I finally had a biopsy, the lump hAad doubled in size.
I went through a year of surgeries and treatment. Today, three years later, I'm in remission. Looking back, I'm incredibly grateful I made the decision to get that ultrasound."
