When weeks can pass between visits, a lot can change. What might be possible with more insight into what’s happening in between?

For Kandis Daroski, one patient experience brought that question to life. Her patient had stopped doing her exercises because they were making her symptoms worse, but Kandis didn’t know until weeks later.

A more connected approach is possible and can help bring those moments into view sooner, giving clinicians the opportunity to adjust before frustration takes hold.

Kandis explores this in the latest video from our Connected Care series: https://youtu.be/taXLa54soqE

"Digital MSK care" shows up in nearly every conversation about the future of orthopedics, yet rarely comes with a clear definition. Craig Johansen breaks the term down to what it actually describes and what the evidence supports, so you can decide for yourself whether it earns your attention.

The right technology doesn’t put distance between patients and their care team. It brings them closer while giving patients a more active role in their own care.

That can mean clear video walkthroughs of the patients movements, reminders that keep them on track, or simple ways to share symptoms and pain levels.

It’s one piece of a much bigger conversation about where technology can take home health, from clinician workflows and onboarding to documentation, patient engagement, and more.

If you haven’t listened yet, catch the full conversation with Tim Altenburg, PT, DPT and Chris Chimenti, Senior Director of Clinical Innovation at HCR Home Care, on the APTA Home Health - Home on the Go podcast: aptahhs.memberclicks.net/podcasts
