Hi, human friends! It’s me again. Many of you have asked how my first week with Dad is going, so here’s a quick update on the clinic and life so far!
Clinic Update:
The clinic will close two hours early tomorrow. Papa and I have appointments with the doctor. 🐾
My update:
My first nine weeks of life have flown by! I’m settling in well, learning lots of tricks, and doing great with potty training. Papa says I’m a smart, confident young pup. He also says I’m a puppy vacuum for wood chips in the yard.
I had a trial run at the clinic last Wednesday. I greeted my first patient with a big kiss and met a few young humans about my size—maybe a little bigger. When the phone rang, I tried to answer it but soon got distracted and decided it looked tasty.
We’re training hard, even though the nights are long. Papa wakes me every two hours to go outside, but I wish he’d let me sleep—my growing brain needs rest, and he should know that! Mornings begin with food, followed by a short break so my belly can settle. After a quick potty trip, we head to the basement. Papa carries a cup of something black, and we train to music.
Dad is doing well with potty cleanup. He bought 1,000 disposable gloves but has used only one pair, and he keeps calling my messes “landmines.” I tell him I’m proud of him for handling this grown man responsibility, and he appreciates the encouragement.
Thank you all for the gifts and the play dates this first week! I love you. Continue to keep Papa and me in your prayers. 🫶🏻
Go lions! 🦁
