💫Good inputs = Good outputs 🥳

That was the theme of the day for these 13 clinicians who dedicated their Saturday to up-leveling their clinical skills and understanding of healing after neuro injury.

WORKING WITH HIGH TONE SCI & NEURO
📍Fargo, ND - Oct 10, 2026

👉 This group went deep into the ZN protocol for working with high tone, exploring how the autonomic nervous system (and all its parts!) play a big role in tone management.

🌀 We also explored how fascial focused training can support improved proprioception in the moment and tissue adaptation over time (elasticity!) for improved tolerance to stretches and positions that would normally be triggering.

💥 Clinicians feel for themselves first hand the impressive impact of quick, simple (but targeted) interventions before applying them to our real demo clients so we can see the magic unfold in real time in real Neuro cases.

🙌 Thank you to Megan at PAM Health for help coordinating and hosting the event, and to the models who gave their time and energy to help us learn and to the clinicians who are putting their personal lives on hold to become better for their clients/patients.

👐 Handling Skills for SCI 👐

Most SCI patients are first taught to roll over using MOMENTUM...

But that might might be the best strategy for those with:
👉 spinal precautions limiting torque and compression
👉 spinal hardware that shouldn't be "twisted"
🔥 interest in improving core strength 🙌
💥 high tone in the trunk

SOUND ON for explanations
🎥 This clips is from my signature 3-day course where I teach handling skills that leverage fascial lines and EMPOWER the individual to own the movement vs. fly through it.

PRO-TIPS for assisted rolling over:
💥Cross the ankles
💥Place your hand through the "donut hole."
💥USE LEVERAGE: lean your body over the leg to initiate the roll for the hips - this passively tractions the body to 'jump-start' the roll in the trunk & shoulders
💥SCI athlete should aim for a LOW sweep of the arm in order to tap into the Spiral fascial line - use a big exhale and fascial tensioning vs. momentum.

BONUS: the helper can traction the spiral line to give an even bigger jump start to the roll.

If you're interested in working smarter, not harder, in your max and min assist movements for neuro patients, give me a shout!

➡️ Learn these exact strategies (and how to leverage fascial lines for so much more) in the upcoming 3-day Course: 📍Oct 16-18 Austin, TX - Link in bio to register! 🙌

If you want to get more confidence in your skills 👉 you need open lab time for hands-on practice with real bodies.

If you want to get more nuanced in your practice 👉 you need that real-time feedback from an instructor.

If you want learn from other professionals in your allied care network 👉 get in the same room with them to have a discussion.

You can't get those things over a live-stream or recorded course.

Which is why, even in this digital age, I continue to offer my in-person courses and workshops.

And of course, the ✨magic✨ of this work is in the details. Things like:
🔹Strategic and precise hand placement for optimized support
🔹The slightest change in joint angle to effect a different fascial line
🔹Learning to read body language for understanding & connection
🔹Perfecting an exercise set-up for deepest integration

This kind of stuff is just really hard to teach over a screen. Period.

If it's been a while since you joined an in-person course, I encourage you to come experience the magic of it ALL!
