Big feelings can be hard to put into words. 🩵 Through art and speech activities, kiddos can express themselves, ask for help, and navigate tricky moments one brushstroke, word, or gesture at a time. 🎨💬

It’s not about creating something perfect or finding the “right” words. It’s about feeling supported, connected, and heard.

We continue to send love and light to our SpEd community and families 🫶🫂

Our hearts are with the sweet kiddos, families, educators, and entire special needs community following the tragic event at Silver Rail Elementary.

We want to come together to support the families impacted by this heartbreaking event that are near to our hearts. We are collecting gift cards and food donations to help ease the burden of everyday needs and offer a little comfort during an unimaginably difficult time.

If you are able to contribute, donations can be dropped off at the clinic this week.

Our hearts have been warmed seeing this community come together during such an unimaginable time 🩵 Let’s keep taking care of each other.

Every way of communicating deserves to be celebrated! 💬🩵

October is AAC Awareness Month! AAC stands for augmentative and alternative communication, and this month celebrates the many ways people communicate.

At Little Hands Therapy, we celebrate every kiddos’ right to express their ideas, share their feelings, make choices, and be part of the conversation. 👏 Because what matters most isn’t how a message is shared, it’s that we listen. ✨

Join Central Oregon Autism Movement for our Sensory-Friendly Halloween Celebration .

Saturday, October 24th from 5:00–6:30 PM!

We’re creating a fun, welcoming Halloween experience with our autism community in mind. 🧡 Families can enjoy Trick-or-Treat Booths, stilt entertainment & bubbles, a photo prop area, food & refreshments, sensory-friendly fun, and more!

This event is FREE for families, but RSVP is required and space is limited!

We are so excited to welcome Ally, our newest Speech-Language Pathologist to the LHT team! 💬✨

Ally brings six years of experience supporting clients with a wide range of communication needs across outpatient, school, and neurological settings. Her approach is play-based and child-led, with a special passion for AAC and family-centered care, making her the perfect addition to LHT!

Outside the clinic, you can find Ally rock climbing, backpacking, and enjoying the outdoors. We are thrilled to have her on our team, please join us in welcoming Ally! 👏

July is Disability Pride Month, a time to celebrate disability identity, community, and to honor the ADA’s legacy while pushing for true inclusion in everyday life. 👏

We believe people with disabilities don’t need to be “fixed” to belong. They deserve access, autonomy, and support so they can show up exactly as they are in every environment.
