I think I’m finally figuring out what I’m building. 👀🍂

And no… it isn’t just one thing.

It’s taken a lot of experimenting, changing my mind, learning new s**t, starting things before I felt ready, and occasionally wondering what the hell I’m doing. 😂

But lately the pieces have started fitting together.

Midlife.
Wellness.
Hormones.
Healthy aging.
Things that make life easier.
Things I genuinely love.
And resources I wish someone had handed me years ago.

All under one roof.

Midlife With Autumn.

I’m not ready to show you everything yet.

But I will say this…

I’m building something I wish existed when I started wondering, “Okay… now what?”

🍂 Soon.

If you’re figuring out this midlife thing right alongside me, stick around. I’m building this for us.

Me, at 47, wondering what else I could possibly add to my life. 😂

Also me: I have an idea… 👀

I’ve spent a lot of my adult life thinking there was some point where you’re supposed to have everything figured out.

Career. Family. Money. What you want. Where you’re headed.

Apparently I missed that memo. 😂

Because lately I have more ideas than I’ve had in years.

I’m building things. Learning things. Trying things. Some will probably work. Some probably won’t.

And I genuinely have no idea which one might turn into something much bigger.

But that’s actually the part I’m starting to love.

Maybe 47 isn’t the age where I’m supposed to have it all figured out.

Maybe it’s the age I finally get curious enough to find out what else I’m capable of. 👀🍂

There should be an award for the amount of completely useless information a mother keeps in her head. 😂

What time everyone needs to be somewhere.

Who needs new shoes.

What’s running out in the fridge.

Which kid has something due tomorrow that they’re definitely going to remember to tell me about at 9:47 tonight.

Appointments.

Forms.

Birthdays.

What’s for dinner.

The thing I need to order.

The other thing I was supposed to order three days ago.

And approximately 63 other things that apparently live in my brain rent free.

Meanwhile…

I walk upstairs to get something and have absolutely no fu***ng idea why I’m there. 😂

The irony is impressive.

Midlife brain + mom brain is one hell of a combination.

At this point, if it isn’t in my phone, on a list, or written somewhere…

May the odds be ever in its favor. 😂

And maybe this is exactly why I’ve been quietly working on something behind the scenes for women whose brains look a whole lot like mine. 👀

More on that soon. 🤍🍂

Women over 40… what’s something you’ve officially stopped giving a s**t about? 🤔

I’ll go first: trying to make everyone happy. That job is exhausting. 🤣

Confession: I originally thought 🌶️tides were mostly about weight loss. 😳

Turns out… I had barely scratched the surface. 😂

Seriously.

A few months ago, if someone said “🌶️tides,” my brain pretty much went straight to weight loss.

Now I’m learning there’s an entire world beyond that, different peps are being studied and used in different areas of health and wellness, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed learning more about the science behind it.

One of the things I appreciate about being partnered with EllieMD is that I’m not the person deciding what someone should take. That conversation happens with a licensed medical provider who can look at the individual, their goals and medical history, and determine what may or may not be appropriate.

My role? Keep learning, share what I’m learning, connect people with the right resources, and apparently fall down approximately 95 research rabbit holes along the way. 🤓😂

So I’m curious…

What’s ONE thing in the 🌶️tide/wellness space you keep hearing about that you wish someone would explain in normal-human language?

Drop it below. 👇 I may turn your question into one of my next posts!

Can we talk about the Sunday-night anxiety after vacation for a minute? 😬

You’ve had time away. You’ve relaxed. You’ve gotten out of your normal routine.

And then suddenly it’s Sunday night and your brain is like…

“Wait. Tomorrow we go back to REAL LIFE?!” 😳

The alarm clock.
The schedule.
The emails.
The 47 things you’re already trying to remember for tomorrow.

I’ve definitely got a case of the post-vacation Sunday scaries tonight. 😂

Please tell me I’m not the only one.

If you’re heading back tomorrow too… what’s your best trick for making that first day back a little less painful?

Asking for a friend.

Okay. It’s me. I’m the friend. 🙋🏻‍♀️😂

Well… I’ve been working on something. 🌿

And I think this is probably the best way to explain what I’m trying to build here.

Somewhere along the way, I got really good at taking care of everyone else.

Work. Kids. Family. Home. All the things.

You handle what needs to be handled. You keep going. And sometimes you don’t even realize how little room you’ve left for yourself until one day you do.

I think I’ve reached that day.

I’m 47. I’m a mom of four. I’m a nurse. And I definitely don’t have this whole midlife thing figured out.

But I do know I don’t want to spend the next chapter of my life just getting through the days.

I want my energy back.
My confidence.
My health.
My time.
And definitely my fun. ❤️

I want to understand what’s actually happening to our bodies in this stage of life. I want to learn more about healthy aging and the options available to us. I want to talk about the things women in their 40s and beyond are actually dealing with—the physical stuff, the emotional stuff, the identity shifts, and all the very real life happening in between.

And because I’m a nurse, I’ll probably always want to understand the why behind things too. But I’m not coming here pretending to have every answer.

I’m figuring some of this out right alongside you.

That’s what Midlife With Autumn is becoming.

A place to talk about midlife honestly. To learn. To laugh. To question things. To take better care of ourselves. And maybe to remember some of the parts of ourselves we’ve been too busy to make room for.

No perfection required.

So if you’ve ever looked around at the life you’ve built and thought, “Okay… but where am I in all of this?”

I think you’re going to like it here. 🌿

And if any of this sounds familiar, tell me: what’s one part of yourself you’d like to make a little more room for again?

If you had asked me 10 years ago what my life would look like at 47… I would’ve gotten a LOT of it wrong. 😂I used to thi...

If you had asked me 10 years ago what my life would look like at 47… I would’ve gotten a LOT of it wrong. 😂

I used to think changing your mind meant you didn’t know what you wanted.

Now I think it might be one of the healthiest things we can do.

I’ve changed my mind about what success looks like.

I’ve changed my mind about whose opinions deserve space in my head.

I’ve changed my mind about what being “healthy” means.

I’ve changed my mind about how I want to spend my time.

And I’ve definitely changed my mind about thinking I had to have my entire life figured out by now. 😂

Maybe that’s one of the underrated parts of getting older:

🌿You finally realize you’re allowed to edit the plan.
🌿You can want something different.
🌿You can outgrow an old goal.
🌿You can decide something that once mattered doesn’t anymore.

Changing your mind doesn’t always mean you’re lost.

Sometimes it means you’ve learned something. 🤍

What’s something you’ve completely changed your mind about as you’ve gotten older? ⬇️
