FULL FACE REJUVENATION: NOSE, TEMPLES, UNDER EYES, MIDFACE, SMILE LINES, LIPS, CHIN, and CHIN SHADOWS.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This beautiful patient initially requested an appointment for CHIN filler. She had previously received 1 syringe of chin filler at another clinic. She stated that something looked “off” as her previous injector only injected the center of her chin and spent less than 5 minutes doing so.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I agreed that she could use more chin filler to balance out her facial proportions as she had chin retrusion (where the chin recedes back into her face). With all chin filler, one must also blend the surrounding areas of the chin, called the chin shadows. If you do not inject this area, the chin will not blend into the rest of the face and jawline. This results in an unnatural appearance of the chin.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
She asked for any other recommendations and I informed her of the beauty of full face balancing and rejuvenation. She had a great foundation, but with time and age, comes volume loss. I wanted to restore her midface and under eyes. I also wanted to add a little bit of filler to her smile lines to soften the shadows in that area and lastly to do her lips. She agreed to everything... but we ran out of time to do her lips.

She returned one month later for a follow up, as we knew we wanted to add more to her chin (it is best not to add too much in one sitting). We must always give time for the filler to integrate into the tissues and slowly expand this area (as with lips). At this visit, we also added temple filler as she had lost some volume here.

Lastly, the cherry on top... we did a little bit of filler to her nose! I do not inject this area often as it is a high risk area, but she took a leap of faith and it gave her just the slightest shift in light reflex to the tip of her nose. We may add a little bit more in one month. For now, we were all very happy with the results and decided to take our time. There is never any rush. (…continued in the comment section below 👇🏼)
