It’s been a pretty rough news cycle, and one thing that really bothers me is the attack on diversity and inclusion. During Black History Month, it’s more important than ever to recognize the value of diversity and inclusion—not just in history, but in our everyday lives.
The recent attacks on DEI feel personal because they go against everything I stand for, both as a person and as a physician. Everything I stand for—and what I’ve worked to make sure our office embodies—is celebrating that very thing: diversity.
My goal has always been to create a space where ALL patients feel seen, valued, and treated with the highest level of care, no matter their background, identity, or skin type. That’s something that’s incredibly important to me.
This is especially important in aesthetics, where treatments should enhance who you are—not erase it. That’s why I’m intentional about bringing in devices and techniques that serve a diverse range of patients.
This month and always, I’m committed to ensuring that my space reflects those values. I hope we move back toward a world that embraces inclusivity, but until then, I’ll continue doing my part to make sure my practice reflects those values every single day.
