✨ Wellness Wednesday: Let’s Talk Dermaplaning ✨

Dermaplaning is a professional exfoliation treatment that uses a specialized blade to gently remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells along with fine vellus hair, often called “peach fuzz.”

What can dermaplaning do for your skin?

🌿 Reveal a smoother, healthier-looking glow
🌿 Leave your skin feeling incredibly soft
🌿 Help skincare products absorb more effectively
🌿 Allow makeup to glide on more smoothly
🌿 Prepare the skin for other professional treatments
🌿 Provide immediate results with no required downtime

And no, your facial hair will not grow back thicker or darker! Dermaplaning does not change the type, color, or growth pattern of the hair. The same soft vellus hair gradually grows back, typically within about four weeks.

Dermaplaning can benefit all skin tones and many different skin types, although it may need to be postponed if you have active acne, cold sores, or certain medical conditions.

Our 60-minute Dermaplane Facial combines professional exfoliation with customized skincare to leave your complexion smooth, refreshed, and glowing.

✨ 60 minutes | $125

Twenty-five years later, we still remember.

We remember the lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, the families forever changed, and a nation that stood together in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Today, we pause to honor them, pray for those who still carry the weight of that day, and remember that even in our darkest moments, God remains near.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
John 15:13

We will never forget.

In Still Waters Spa’s defense, we waited a whole TWO days into the “-tember” months before celebrating… 😂🍂

It’s currently under 100 degrees in our little nook of the South, so naturally, we’re declaring it FALLLLLLL! 🔥

Cozy season has officially arrived at Still Waters with fun fall candles, snuggly slippers, and all the little fireside must-haves your heart could want. Who needs cooler weather when you can simply light a fall candle and turn the air conditioner down? 🎃🕯️🍁

🎉 Still Waters Spa is celebrating 🎉

I can’t even believe I’m making this post already... my, how time flies when you’re doing what you love!

Today, Still Waters Spa celebrates ONE YEAR! 🤍

Many of you have heard the testimony behind Still Waters, but for those who haven’t: last year, the Lord placed it on my heart to create a space in Woolmarket where people could receive care, find rest, and be reminded of His goodness.

With much prayer, we stepped out in faith and over this past year, God has used this community to bless Still Waters in more ways than I could ever count.

To our Woolmarket neighbors, our clients from across the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and those who have visited us while traveling through the area: thank you for walking through our doors and allowing us to serve you.

Thank you for every appointment booked, kind word spoken, prayer offered, post shared, recommendation given, and friend or family member sent our way. Whether you supported Still Waters before the doors opened or discovered us somewhere along the way, you have played a meaningful part in our first year.

The Lord has been faithful through every season, and I remain in awe of the kindness, encouragement, and Christ-filled community He has surrounded us with.

It is truly an honor to serve the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and we are so grateful that you have welcomed Still Waters Spa into this community. We pray that every person who enters finds a place of peace, rest, and genuine care.

Our story is only beginning! A few months ago, we asked what you would like to see from Still Waters and I am proud to say we listened. We have some exciting announcements coming next week, and we can’t wait to share what’s ahead!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for an unforgettable first year. To God be all the glory! ✝🌿

🌿 **Wellness Wednesday: Cupping** 🌿

Have you ever wondered what cupping is?

Unlike traditional massage, which uses downward pressure, cupping uses gentle suction to lift the skin and superficial tissues. This creates negative pressure that temporarily increases blood flow to the treated area and offers a different approach to addressing muscle tension and discomfort.

Many clients choose to add cupping to their massage because it may help:

✨ Ease the feeling of tight, overworked muscles
✨ Provide short-term relief from muscle soreness
✨ Support comfortable movement in areas that feel restricted
✨ Enhance relaxation during your session

It's also completely normal to have circular marks after treatment. These are a common response to the suction and usually fade within several days.

✨ Interested in trying it? Cupping is available as a $20 enhancement that can be added to most massage appointments. If you're wondering whether it's a good fit for you, just ask during your visit, we're always happy to help determine what's best for your individual needs.
