Do you remember this old girl? ❤️

She came to live with us last December at the age of 13 after her “mother” decided to rehome her. I just wanted to share how incredibly blessed we are to have her here and how happy she seems to be living out her life with us. 🥰

She is deaf, has a hard time getting her bones going after she wakes up (we can relate 😂), and she’s sometimes a little confused when she first gets up. But then… LOOK AT HER GO!!! ❤️🐴

There’s something so beautiful about giving an older animal a safe, loving place to simply be. She deserves every bit of this life. 💕

Gosh, I’ve been so disconnected lately! ❤️ Things are still moving right along here at Brite Light Sanctuary, even when I’m not keeping up with all the posts.

Today, the wonderful Dr. Alyssa King made a special visit to check on Molly. Poor Molly has been having trouble eating, and her tongue has been hanging out of her mouth. Dr. King was able to get her fixed up for the time being, but she would like Molly to see the equine dentist.

So…when Buttons sees the dentist in December, I guess Molly will be going too! We’ll see what he thinks. 😬

Molly gets VERY disgruntled when anyone tries to work on her mouth—even with a double dose of sedation! 😂 So this should be an adventure!

Look how cute this little girl is in her lavender fly mask! 💜🐴 Now, guess how long it lasted… 😂 Apparently, the flies were NOT impressed! After several attempts to shake it off, we ended up with some seriously crazy hair. Still adorable, though! 💕🤣

There's something magical about the forest after a summer rain. The fresh scent of pine fills the air, the leaves sparkle with tiny droplets, and everything seems to take a deep, peaceful breath. It's a beautiful reminder that even after the storms, there is renewed beauty waiting to be noticed. 🌲💚

Maxwell has a new roommate! 🐐🐔

The other chickens were picking on sweet Louise because of her bad eye, so my wonderful husband built her a cozy little house inside Maxwell's stall. ❤️ We're hoping these two become the best of friends. Sometimes all you need is a safe place and a kind companion.
