I've been doing some scrapbooking/junk Journaling lately and made this page recently. Just reminders of how far I've come and messages I still need to remember 💛. Art has always been therapy for me and a little way to escape all the real world BS, we all need that sometimes💛.

I've had some really good days the last week or so, so I've been trying to take advantage of that and the good weather and take walks. I know it doesn't seem like much but I'm usually just too tired or in to much pain to even think about doing anything besides resting after work. To have any amount of energy really is rare for me so I definitely don't take that for granted and want to celebrate the wins, no matter how small🤗. . Prayin I have more days like this so I can continue with a little exercise!

I've been seeing a therapist since all of this started in 2020. It has been a tremendous help navigating my new normal and just everyday life. There is such an ugly stigma around therapy but I'm not ashamed at all to say I go regularly when need be. Life is hard in general so when you throw in something like a chronic illness that comes with uncontrollable pain, mountains of bills, and no real answer in sight, you just need help. If you have ongoing pain somewhere, you go to the doctors right? Why not do the same when your spirit/feelings are hurting as well? There's not one person on this planet that couldn't benefit from therapy and I really believe that. Mental health matters 💛.

It's my 2 year hysterecto-versary... I can't believe it's been that long already! This was by far one of the most challenging things I've ever been through. Coming to terms with never having any more children, fighting insurance and having to come out of pocket for a huge, nearly 6 hour surgery, and not knowing if my level of pain would even improve was a lot.. I was 100% at my lowest mentally during this time. I was in so much pain and couldn't be helped.. People don't understand that not every state has a specialist so I was forced to go elsewhere and insurance denied my entire surgery, even though there's literally noone here to help us. I am very greatful for my doctor and I've had so much relief but because I had to wait so long for proper care, the disease spread and other organs were affecting so I've spent the last 2 years fighting kidney issues. Unfair isn't even the right word, we deserve better care and I hope that comes in my lifetime... Thank you for continuing to follow what seems like a never ending journey 🥴.
