Start small; set a timer for 5, 10, or 15 seconds of rounds of intentional deep breathing. ๐ฎโ๐จโ๏ธ

Our body stores so much [trauma] ๐
This video captures one of our โbetter momentsโ; but there have been times where doing an exercise caused me to cry, to release โ๏ธ Sabrina pushed me not only to places physically that I thought I couldnโt go.. but working out (or pushing ourselves physically in any form) really helped me to see I truly am ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ than I [mentally] realize ๐ฅนโค๏ธโ๐ฉน

Whatever you're telling yourself about the experience that you're having, it is contributing to how you're feeling ๐ญ ๐ฅ
If your thought is โI'm drowningโ ๐ญ then the thought of 'I'm drowning' is going to have you feeling angst ๐ฅ anxious ๐ฅ stressed out๐ฅ overwhelmed ๐ฅ or some debilitating feeling.
Try finding balance in your thoughts ๐ญ ๐ญ "this is gonna pass."
๐ญ "this is temporary."
๐ญ "Is this really something that I should be stressing about right now?"

Do you walk away feeling inspired? Motivated? Or do you find yourself feeling drained?
If people around you...
...are in a negative mood
...unhealthy for you
...or toxic for you
...it can influence the thoughts you have ๐ญ
Take an inventory of your relationships (intimate, friendships, peers, etc) - rather than paying attention to things like 'what should I say?' 'Should I say ___?' 'what if I say too much or not enough?' INSTEAD, pay attention to how YOU feel around the other person. Notice if you feel drained or energized.
With regards to intimate relationships - sometimes the person someone is dating or pursuing can be a reflection of an unhealed wound.

โ how is it serving you?

I don't get how some people can be happy or let things go
Notice what you're telling yourself...what you tell yourself can be contributing to how you feel ๐ญ
There are different ways that we think - we have rational thinking and irrational thinking ๐ญ๐ญ Rational is facts - water is wet; rocks are hard. Irrational is based on feelings, emotions... it's not always accurate...it can be a little skewed.
A lot of times, our thinking will be based on irrational thinking (for example, jumping to conclusions, or things are always ___ and never _____).
We all have a tendency to have irrational thinking patterns - thinking that's based on feelings or emotions.
๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐
๐ญ Identify the thought.
๐ญ Recognize that's irrational.
๐ญ Get yourself into the ๐ฅ๐ง๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ of recognizing that the thoughts are irrational
๐ญ Practice shifting going from negative to ๐ฃ๐๐ช๐ฉ๐ง๐๐ก (not necessarily 'positive' but to a place where you could say...'okay..that's fair'), for example
๐ชด 'I have always figured this/things out.'
๐ชด 'Next time, I'll handle things differently.'
๐ชด Making mistakes doesn't mean, I'm stupid, broken, weak, or bad.

Why do we fall back into old habits or behaviors?
Sometimes we'll try our best ๐ค๐ฝ set ourselves up for success..make promises to ourselves..
Yet somehow, we'll have a break down๐ฅ
Fall back into old behaviors. Reactive. Old narratives. Judgement.
๐ค Why is that?
Some reasons include
๐ตโ๐ซ Familiarity. Familiarity can be like a subconscious comfort (your sogie binkie blanket, if you will). It's known..even if it's unhealthy.
๐ตโ๐ซ [Relapse] Justifications. We will justify (irrational) reasons to 'relapse' into old, unhealthy behaviors ๐ญ Our thinking/thoughts can persuade us.
๐จ๐ค ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฉ ๐๐ค ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐ค?
๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐:
