Some of the most meaningful moments in nursing happen when care goes beyond the clinical 💙 Congratulations to Kyla R. for winning the DAISY Award!
During an especially challenging shift, Kyla cared for a critically ill 28-week pregnant patient facing an incredibly complex situation. Through it all, she remained calm, patient, and compassionate, advocating for her patient, providing comfort, communicating with her family, and finding ways to help her feel safe and cared for.
From sitting with her in the shower to taking her around the unit in a wheelchair to help her relax, Kyla continued to meet her patient with dignity and kindness, even in the most difficult moments.
What makes this recognition so special is that this is the standard Kyla brings to her work every day. She consistently steps up for some of the most challenging patients, never skips a beat, and brings compassion, positivity, and unwavering dedication to every shift.
