💗🗣️ “AWAKENING AFTER CANCER.” — JESSI LORD | FIRST PERSON

What happens when cancer treatment ends, but you no longer feel like the person you were before?

For Jessi Lord, surviving cancer was only part of the journey.

There was also the quieter, more complicated work of healing emotionally, rediscovering herself, and figuring out how to move forward after an experience that had changed so much.

Cancer has a way of dividing life into before and after. And while the world may expect you to return to normal once treatment is over, many survivors discover that “normal” no longer feels quite the same.

Jessi's story, “Awakening After Cancer,” explores that process of finding herself again.

It's about looking beyond what cancer took away and discovering what still matters. About learning to listen to yourself, reconsidering priorities, and allowing life to take on new meaning.

Because survivorship isn't always about getting back to who you were.

Sometimes it's about discovering who you're becoming. 💗

💬 For those who've experienced cancer, did it change what matters most to you? We'd love to hear your thoughts, whether you're still figuring things out or have found a new sense of direction.

💗🗣️ “I MISS BEING NORMAL.” — SOPHIE PUMPHREY | FIRST PERSON

“I miss being normal,” breast cancer survivor Sophie Pumphrey tells her therapist.

Before cancer, she was a mom and a full-time employee, juggling work, family, and everyday responsibilities.

Then she added another role: Cancer Patient.

The appointments. The surgeries. The treatment decisions. The side effects. And the exhausting expectation that somehow, life should just continue as usual.

Sophie writes with remarkable honesty and humor about what happens when cancer changes not only your body, but your sense of who you are.

The pain. The fatigue. The medically induced menopause. The changes to intimacy and relationships. And the frustration of feeling grateful for lifesaving treatment while struggling with its consequences.

You can be grateful to be alive and still miss the life you had before cancer.

Both feelings can be true.

❤️ If you've experienced cancer, what is one part of your old normal that you miss?
