Let’s talk a bit about lymphatic drainage massage specifically in regards to post-operation. I am finding that a lot of people who are getting Liposuction, tummy tucks, and BBLs are not being properly educated on the importance of post-operative care. One should be receiving lymphatic drainage massages immediately following the surgery, 2-3 times a week to start. My clients experience intense discomfort afterwards and their sessions help not only bring down the swelling and tightness but it helps to alleviate the pain they are experiencing.

Benefits of Lymphatic Drainage massage :

- stimulates lymph flow
- reduces swelling and inflammation
- immune system support
- reduces fluid retention
- rids toxins from the body
- pain relief/ management

I would love to make another post explaining how the lymph system works, what it’s designed to accomplish, and why it so important to keep it moving.

Be well 💫🙏🏾🫶🏾

Today’s reiki session was divine. My client experienced reiki for the first time today and afterwards immediately decided to make it a monthly commitment to her wellness. She could feel the weight she was carrying being lifted off of her body. Sometimes we truly need an energetic detox. Sometimes we need assistance with letting go. 💫💆🏾‍♀️🦋

You have the power to enhance your quality of life. Receiving massages provides so much more than just pain relief and relaxation.

Here are 3 ways massage can increase your quality of life:

🌻Lower anxiety
🌻Boosting immune function
🌻Better quality of sleep

Massage can lower anxiety levels! It decreases levels of cortisol, and increases activity of the parasympathetic nervous system, which will calm the body and brain during stress

Did you also know that massage also flushes out toxins and increases the levels of lymphocytes, which help the body fight off harmful substances in the body.

Massage can also help the quality of your sleep and you know we love and need our sleep!! Not sleeping well for a prolonged period of time has been associated with numerous chronic health issues, including heart disease, diabetes and depression. Massage stimulates the production of serotonin and if you didn't know... the brain uses serotonin to produce MELATONIN! Melatonin controls your sleep-wake cycle and tells your brain to pump the brakes and slooooow down 😴

What do you do to improve the quality of your life? Let's talk about it y'all! Comment below
