Twenty years.

We missed our anniversary party in September — tourist season swallowed us whole. But we haven't forgotten, and there's a limited edition 20-year item coming that'll go to the newsletter list before anyone else hears about it.

There's also original artwork coming this winter — pieces Nick and I are making by hand, available for a limited time. Newsletter subscribers get first access before they're ever opened to the public.

No Black Friday deals. No holiday specials. Just real work made available to the people who've been paying attention.

If that sounds like something you want in on, the signup is on our website. Link in bio.

We're glad you're still here.

— An old man who loves his craft.

If you've been sitting on an idea for a bigger piece, fall is the moment to start.

You're coming out of the sun, moving into layers — but not yet into the tight base layers that make healing miserable. It's the sweet spot. Start now and there's a real chance we finish before summer shows up and you want to be showing it off.

Nick and I have openings. Custom work books out, so sooner is better.
We also have gift coins available in the shop and online — a simple way to set money aside for yourself or someone you love before the holiday spending hits.

And this winter we're doing something we've never done before. Something we're making available to newsletter subscribers first.

Final post tomorrow.

Fall is here and honestly it’s my favorite time of year.

The shop cools down. Long sleeves are back. The nights get quiet and dark early and I find that comforting in a way I can’t fully explain.

It’s also one of the best times of year to start thinking about your next tattoo.

I’ve got some thoughts on why — and some news about how we’re doing things differently this winter.

More this week.
