Okay... she’s finished.

The first 26 weeks of Somatic Grounding for Unstable Times became 26 recorded audio guided practices... and now they live together in one place.

The Somatic Practice Library: Volume I
Regulation, Relationship & the Practice of Returning... 26 audio guided somatic practices + a companion guide designed to help you find the practice you need based on what is actually happening in your body.

This has been a much bigger project than I anticipated when I started putting it together... and I am so fu***ng excited to finally show you.

Launching October 20th... and yes... it will be available to everyone. You do not need to be a paid subscriber.

I hit 1,000 subscribers yesterday on Substack... and while that might not seem like a lot to some people, it’s a whole lot to me.

I’ve built that little corner of the internet from the ground up... organically. Just me, my writing, and the hope that maybe some of my words would resonate with someone out there.... and somehow, over a thousand of you have decided to stick around. Which is still a little wild to me.

There are a million other things people could be doing with their time, and the fact that they've chosen to spend even a little of it reading my words... means more than most people probably realize.

Substack has become something really special to me. To every single one of you who has taken the time to read, comment, share, restack, engage, or subscribe... thank you... truly.

I fall in love every day. Little things. All the time.

A song that comes on my shuffle, a stranger's laugh, the way the light streams through the window, the color orange in nature, a well poured shot of espresso.... hundreds of tiny moments. Every. Single. Day.

We've officially arrived....

October has a way of turning the lights down. The days shorten, the trees let go, and whatever we managed to keep busy enough to avoid all summer starts asking for a seat at the table.

I've been feeling it in my own life and hearing it from clients for weeks. The want that keeps getting louder. The pattern that showed up again, in a new outfit, at the worst possible time. The thing you already know and have been carrying around unnamed.

Scorpio season begins later this month, and I have six placements there, so this is home territory for me. I've always trusted this part of the year. It asks for honesty, and it pays well for it. So I built a reading for the descent.

Into the Underworld moves through five questions. What is under the surface and asking for your attention. What you've been protecting, avoiding, or keeping quiet. What you want when fear and expectation step out of the room. What has finished its life in its current form. And where you are being invited to go from here.

You can come in two ways.

Live Tarot, $40. Fifteen minutes with me on Zoom, one to one. Bring a question or an area of your life and we go straight to it. I'm holding these on Thursdays in October only, between 10 AM and 2 PM Eastern, with eight spots each week. The remaining dates are October 8, 15, 22, and 29.

Email Tarot, $35. A written reading, pulled for you and delivered to your inbox within 48 hours of purchase. Order whenever you're ready, tell me your question and anything you'd like me to know before I pull your cards, and return to the reading as often as you need. Available through the end of Scorpio season.

If something in you leaned forward while reading this, follow it. Choose your way in and I'll meet you there.... links in the comments.

Here's what's happening in The Liminal Space this week...

The weekly energy forecast for October 5–11 is live. Mercury and Venus are both in Scorpio, Venus is retrograde, and the mind and the heart are both in review before Scorpio season has even officially started. The Sun arrived as the tarot card for the week. She dances inside all of it.

Week 35 of Somatic Grounding for Unstable Times is up for paid subscribers. Ambivalence. What happens when you stop demanding that the body settle an argument it may not actually be having... when you can love someone and have real questions about the relationship, want something deeply and resent what it asks of you, feel relief about a decision while grieving what it closes. Ambivalence isn't confusion. Sometimes you're accurately experiencing the fact that more than one thing is true. The somatic practice this week stays with that complexity instead of collapsing it into certainty.

And tomorrow, the New Moon in Libra ritual drops for paid subscribers. Saturday's New Moon opens a chapter in the realm of relationship and worth, with its roots in everything Scorpio is already asking underneath. The ritual will be ready before the New Moon perfects at 11:51am EDT on Saturday.

All of it is live or dropping this week for paid subscribers in The Liminal Space.

I know what anger feels like.... what rage feels like. I have been fu***ng angry. And I can feel that without needing to become it. That is a huge part of the integrative trauma work I practice and teach. I can notice the heat, let it move, understand what it is protecting, and still choose what I do with it.

This is important... because rage can be clean information. It can tell you something has gone too far. But if I let it consume everything in its path, then I am just adding more destruction to a culture already drowning in it.

I keep thinking about Calcination.

It is the first operation in alchemy. Fire. Reduction. The breaking down of what cannot continue in its current form... and collectively, that is very much where this feels like we are.

But fire does not only mean devastation.

Sometimes fire is what makes transformation possible because something old finally cannot hold its shape anymore.

That is where I get stuck with a lot of the rhetoric around patriarchy and feminism right now. I am absolutely here for dismantling systems that have harmed women for generations. I am also not interested in recreating the same violence, domination, humiliation, and dehumanization with different people holding the match.

If the answer to domination is more domination, we are still inside the same fu***ng system.

I do not believe feminism should ask us to become more like the thing we are trying to dismantle... and I absolutely do not believe liberation comes from reproducing the exact dynamics that caused the harm in the first place.

I want the fire to change something.

And while all of that is happening... I am still going to lose my s**t over something as simple as a tiny pinecone.

I am still going to laugh and dance... and play... and notice as many tiny ridiculous beautiful things I can while the world feels like it is burning around us. That is part of how I stay human inside it.

I can be enraged and still choose whimsy... and honestly... I actually think I have to.

Back in April I wrote about why women choose the bear. I didn’t think I’d have to write the follow-up this soon. I was wrong.

Cornell. The r**e academy. Epstein. Women’s rage. Men telling us to calm down. Men hearing “not all men” and somehow still making the conversation about themselves. Women being asked, again, to turn our trauma into educational material so men can learn what the information has been telling them for decades.

This one is personal too. I spent most of my life not talking about what happened to me. I know what it is to carry s*xual violence quietly for decades, and I know what it is to still have those old experiences show up inside a safe relationship, in s*x I actually want, with someone I trust.

I’m raising a son and a daughter. I don’t want applause for raising a son who doesn’t assault women. That is the fu***ng floor. I want him to be the man who notices what other men are doing and says something before somebody gets hurt. And I want my daughter to grow up knowing her body belongs to her without an asterisk.

I can be regulated and fu***ng furious. Those things are not opposites.

Women have been quiet long enough.
