Here's a blood sugar tip that has nothing to do with what you eat, and everything to do with the order you eat it in.

Try this at your next meal: eat your protein and vegetables first, pause for about a minute, then move on to the rice, bread, or potatoes. That pause gives your body time to register fullness which takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes before the easiest-to-overeat food hits your plate.

Have you tried eating in this order before? Let us know if you notice a difference.

You don't need a complicated diet to keep your blood sugar steady just a few consistent habits.

Here are the 5 ground rules from our new meal plan:
1) Don't skip meals.
2) Pair carbs with protein or fat.
3) Fill up on fiber.
4) Watch liquid calories, juice and soda can spike blood sugar faster than solid food.
5) Take a 10-minute walk after eating when you can.

Which one do you already do? Which one is hardest? Tell us the number in the comments.

Join Cheryl and Dr. Scott Saunders, M.D. this Wednesday, September 9 at 2:00 PM Eastern for a free live webinar:

Osteoporosis: It's Not a Calcium Deficiency.

Most of us have been told the same thing about aging bones: take more calcium, and maybe a prescription too. Dr. Saunders is challenging that story, walking through what he believes is really driving bone loss, including vitamin D, vitamin K2, magnesium, hormonal balance, and inflammation, and what his patients have done to work toward stronger bones.

Registration is one-time, so if you have joined before, you are all set. Just show up Wednesday at 2:00 PM Eastern.
