We’re at Saginaw Valley State University today for the Micareerquest middle michigan event!

This expo is held every year to help high school students learn about career opportunities in our local communities. Students who stopped by our booth got to participate in an Amigo “grocery race.” They also got to learn about what goes into making an Amigo!

Since inventing the first-ever motorized grocery shopping cart in 1968, we've helped grocers and retailers create a more accessible shopping experience for their customers, and we're proud to continue that legacy today.

You may have spotted an Amigo employee wearing a yellow smiley-face pin in our photos, videos, or even in person if you've ever visited our headquarters. Since today is World Smile Day, we wanted to share the story behind our Amigo pin.

In the 1970s, our founder, Al Thieme, wanted to change the stigma surrounding personal mobility products. He envisioned a future where mobility products empowered people to live life on their own terms, focusing less on limitations and more on the activities, relationships, and experiences that bring them joy.

That philosophy shaped his vision for Amigo, which he often described as "The Friendly Wheelchair." Known for his optimism and positive outlook, Al met life's challenges with the same smile he hoped Amigo products would inspire in others.

Thank you to everyone who attended, shared their experiences, asked thoughtful questions, and helped create valuable new connections. We're especially proud that Samantha Taylor, Amigo's product manager, had the opportunity to join the panel and contribute to the discussion.

We're so grateful to be part of such a strong manufacturing community here in Mid-Michigan!

A vehicle wrap has just a few seconds to do its most important job: make people remember who you are and what you do.

For Amigo Mobility Center, we designed a custom icon system that makes their mobility products and services easy to recognize at a glance—without relying on complicated photo imagery or getting in the way of the brand.

The result is clean, memorable branding that works on the road.

The wrap gets people interested. Your website, social media, and team can tell the rest of the story when they remember you.

That’s effective branding: clear enough to be remembered, strong enough to make people look you up when they need you.

Stick with us.

Reilly, one of our sales consultants, gave a presentation on Aging in Place and how powered mobility equipment can assist with that amazing goal! We then finished with a tour of the manufacturing facility and our Mobility Center.

Thank you to everyone who made the trip to spend time with us today!
