A heartfelt thank you to our amazing community volunteers!
Yesterday, we were blessed to have a wonderful 4-H group from Bridgeport join us for an afternoon of Bingo with our residents. Their kindness, enthusiasm, and willingness to spend time with our residents brought many smiles and lots of laughter.

Today, we were treated to a delightful visit from the Red Hat Society, who put on a fun apron fashion show. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed seeing the creative aprons and sharing in the fun and fellowship.
We are so grateful to these groups and all of the volunteers who take time out of their busy schedules to brighten the days of our residents. Your generosity, kindness, and community spirit mean more than words can express. Thank you for making a difference and creating special memories for everyone involved!

Meet our Halloween Candy Monster!

Our hungry monster is looking for donations of individually wrapped candy to help make this year’s Penny Carnival Halloween celebration extra special for our residents and trick-or-treaters.

We would love the support of our amazing community. If you’d like to donate candy, stop by and feed the monster! Every piece helps create smiles and sweet memories for our residents.

Dear Family and Friends,

The holiday season will be here before we know it, and our residents are already looking forward to one of their favorite traditions: creating and sending Christmas cards to the special people in their lives.

In November, residents will be participating in a Christmas card activity where they will prepare holiday cards for family members and loved ones. To help make this activity meaningful and successful, we are asking families to provide current mailing addresses for anyone their loved one would like to send a Christmas card to this year.

If you would like your family member to send you or other loved ones a Christmas card, please submit the names and mailing addresses of recipients By November 23rd.

Addresses can be: Dropped off at the facility*Sent by mail*Emailed to [email protected]. Given to the Activity Department.

Receiving and sending Holiday greetings is a wonderful way for residents to stay connected with family and friends during the Christmas season. Your help will ensure they have the information needed to share Holiday wishes with those they care about most.

Thank you for helping us make this Holiday activity special for our residents. We look forward to spreading joy, one Christmas card at a time.

Our September activities were all about the fabulous 1970s! Residents enjoyed a month filled with fun crafts, social gatherings, themed activities, birthday celebrations, and plenty of laughter along the way.

We wrapped up the month in far-out fashion with our 70s Disco Shindig, where residents enjoyed great music, festive decorations, delicious food, and reminiscing about the good old days. It was a wonderful opportunity to share memories, make new ones, and celebrate together.

Our dietary manager, Jennifer, took home the MC Buzzworthy Caption Contest prize—and the smile says it all. We grabbed a few photos of her and our administrator with the gift basket, and the pride in that moment shines through.

Jennifer brings creativity and heart to Skyview every day, and this win is just one more reason we’re grateful to have her on our team.

🌟 Adult Superhero Costumes Needed at Skyview

The Activity Department at Cascades at Skyview is looking for adult‑sized superhero costumes for our residents. We have some fun themed events coming up, and our folks absolutely love dressing up and getting into character.

If you have gently‑used costumes you’d like to donate — capes, masks, full outfits, anything superhero‑related — we would be grateful.
Our residents get such joy out of these moments, and your donation helps make their day a little brighter.
