Harvested the sunflowers today, and brought a quiet little companion along with them. 🌻💛

One sweet bumblebee stayed gently tucked into the seeds moving very little, clearly resting at the end of its life cycle. Even as I cut the stem to bring it in, it chose to stay right there in the warmth of the bloom. Such a poignant, peaceful reminder of nature’s quiet cycles.

JUICEY QUARTZ got to witness the Beat the Beast Bull Riders Tour Finals at Buffalo RiverWorks this weekend and what an incredible experience!

As a woman, watching a young cowgirl take on that bull with such strength, focus, and confidence was deeply empowering. Her ride stayed with me, and I left feeling inspired and victorious.

It also reminded me to honor the youth cowboys and cowgirls whose skill and labor helped shape the American West and its ranching traditions. That history has often been overlooked, and it deserves to be recognized alongside the Mexican and Spanish vaquero, Indigenous, black , and other influences that shaped cowboy culture.

Buffalo, rodeo came to RiverWorks and JUICEY QUARTZ was there to feel the power of it. 🤠
