Cupping therapy is an ancient healing technique that uses suction to gently lift the skin and underlying tissue, bringing fresh blood flow to the area to help reduce muscle tension and stiffness.

Ever wonder why some cupping marks are lighter than others?

Upright Wellness Center founder Adi Herman takes us behind the scenes of a cupping therapy session to explain how he interprets differences in the marks and what they may suggest about areas of pain, tension, or restriction in the body.

While cupping marks alone can't diagnose the source of pain, they can be one observation a practitioner considers alongside a hands-on assessment.
