‘What about women?’ - That’s the question that stumped me at the Tennessee PA conference 2 years ago.

Now I have a solid answer. This has been a women’s issue forever (it’s called menopause), but we didn’t bother with it until it became an issue for men.

Women need testosterone too, just at a much lower dose. However, the cream and pellets convert to estrogen, so what’s the answer?

Based on all the research that’s out there (I know that’s limited) women need about 1/10th of the dose that men need, but they still need it to not convert to estrogen.

So: After we finish the men’s trial (we’ll likely land at 10-50mg per day) we will do a trial for women. 1/10th would put dosing at 1-5mg per day, with 0.5mg increments.

HRT is finally becoming more popular. We need to understand that we’re all human, and that women need this just as bad (if not more) than we do as men.
