High School Health Careers Coordinator, Damaris Bourland, presented the Aging Simulation Program to the nursing students at Queen Anne's County High School on October 7th. The students had an opportunity to learn about the process of aging and to experience what it is like to live with some of the conditions common among older adults. Using simulation tools and attempting routine activities such as reading menus, filling pill boxes, counting change and opening wrappers, students discovered how to navigate these activities with eye conditions, arthritis, neuropathy, and loss of hearing.
