Your Bible has been talking in PICTURES this whole time. 👀🔥
We read Scripture in words. But go back far enough into ancient Hebrew and the letters themselves were represented by pictures.
And y’all know me… once I see that, I cannot UNSEE it. 😂
So this Sukkot, slow down.
Sit in your sukkah. Sit at your kitchen table. Grab your Bible and take ONE Hebrew word apart.
Letter by letter.
Meaning by meaning.
Then… turn around and walk back through it. 👀
Because sometimes when you study those pictures in sequence, and then consider them again in reverse, you notice connections you flew right past the first time.
That’s one of my favorite things about studying Scripture this way: we’re not trying to make the Word say something new. We’re slowing down long enough to notice what’s been sitting there all along. 🔥
And THAT feels especially appropriate during Sukkot, when God literally tells His people to stop, dwell, remember and rejoice.
Okay Bible nerds, you’re up. 😂👇
Which Hebrew word should we break down next?
