🚑 Interested in becoming an EMT?

Panhandle EMS is gauging interest in offering a local EMT class with a tentative start date of January 12th. The proposed schedule would be Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with one Saturday each month.

This form is only being used to determine local interest and does not guarantee class acceptance or enrollment. The forms will be used to reach out to students for an official application.

Class dates, cost, scholarships, and availability are subject to change. Possible scholarship opportunities may be available.

This class is being sponsored by Associated Ambulance Authority.

The RAC team has been busy investing in the education and preparedness of our emergency nursing staff!

From touring specialized response vehicles to learning about mobile medical capabilities and disaster response resources, our nurses gained valuable insight into the tools and teams that support our community during emergencies and large-scale incidents.

Thank you to the RAC team for sharing your expertise and helping strengthen our readiness to provide exceptional patient care when it matters most.

Based on the latest information from local NWS, the flooding issues that already persist in areas from last week's rain, and significant request for packages from the State, we will be standing up our RMOC to Level III - Increased Readiness for internal and external partners. This will begin at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning on 9/29/2026.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the extraordinary courage of the men and women who ran toward danger while everyone else was running away.

Firefighters.
Police officers.
Paramedics and EMTs.
Dispatchers.
Search and rescue teams.
Healthcare professionals.
Military members.
And countless others who answered the call.

More than 20 years later, their courage still reminds us what it means to serve others without hesitation.

At Panhandle Regional Advisory Council, we are proud to stand alongside the first responders who serve our communities every day. Your dedication, sacrifice, and willingness to answer the call—often under the most difficult circumstances—will never be taken for granted.

Today, we remember those we lost.
We honor those who survived.
We recognize those who continue to carry the weight of that day.
And we thank every first responder who continues to serve, protect, rescue, and save lives.
