Here are my top 7 signs your fitness routine ain't cutting it.
1. Youāve been doing the exact same routine for more than 3 months.
š Same exercises. Same order. Same everything.
Your body is REALLY good at getting efficient at things you repeatedly ask it to do. Efficient = less effort by your body
2. Youāre doing the same reps today that you were doing when you started.
If you could do 10 reps three months ago⦠and you can still do 10 reps with the same weight todayā¦
š What exactly are we progressing here?
3. Your weights havenāt really gone up.
You don't need to add weight every single workout. But if you've been training consistently for months and you're basically lifting what you lifted when you started, your body hasn't had much reason to become stronger.
4. Your clothes fit exactly the same.
If changing your body composition is one of your goals, but your clothes, measurements, and physique haven't changed after months of consistent training⦠something needs to change.
5. Your body doesnāt actually move or perform any differently.
The stairs aren't easier. Getting off the floor isn't easier. Carrying the groceries isn't easier. You don't feel stronger, more capable, or more athletic.
That matters WAY more than what the scale says.
6. Youāre not recovering any better.
You're training consistently⦠but you're still exhausted, constantly sore, or needing days to recover from workouts that shouldn't be wrecking you.
š«©More exercise isn't automatically better exercise.
7. Your workouts still feel just as hard as they did when you started.
Not because you're pushing yourself harder. Because you're doing the same thing over and over.
A good program should challenge you; but it should also make you better at being challenged.
8. You have to constantly talk yourself into doing it.
If your entire fitness routine depends on finding enough motivation to suffer through another workout you hateā¦
Maybe the problem isn't your motivation.
Maybe the routine is wrong.š«¶š»
If youāre working out consistently but not getting the results you expected, tell me about your workouts. I'd love to hear.
