How to address suppressed emotions: Speak up, journal, meditate, or deepening your understanding 👇👇👇
✋Nail issues:High Vata (air) manifests as fear, anxiety, restlessness, and a racing mind. Nail biting becomes a subconscious, repetitive physical outlet to ground excess nervous energy. If driven by Pitta, it stems from suppressed anger, perfectionism, impatience, or frustration.
Try:
• Abhyanga (Warm Oil Massage): Massaging warm sesame oil onto your scalp, the soles of your feet, and your hands/fingers before bed deeply pacifies Vata
• Eat warm, cooked, grounding foods (like soups, stews, and root vegetables) and avoid cold, raw, or dry foods that spike Vata anxiety.
Ulcers: In Ayurveda, peptic ulcers are primarily a Pitta excess (fire). When Pitta is elevated, it increases gastric acidity (Amla Pitta) and erodes the stomach lining.
• The Emotional Link: Pitta governs digestion, but it also governs intellect, drive, and passion. When imbalanced, these traits manifest as anger, frustration, impatience, perfectionism, and intense competitiveness. Repressed anger or constant stress literally "burns" the stomach.
Foot Pain:
In Ayurveda, foot pain is primarily a disorder of Vata dosha ( air/ether). Vata governs the nervous system, circulation, and grounding.
• Vata is easily thrown off balance by mental over-exertion, uncertainty, grief, and anxiety or fear. When a person feels "ungrounded," scattered, or mentally unstable, Vata accumulates in the lower extremities—the physical foundation of the body. Chronic foot or heel pain often mirrors a lack of stability or fear of moving forward in life.
