Pulled out the gradebook on the biohacking trends everyone’s spending money on.

Morning sunlight: A+. It’s free. Go outside.
Walking after meals: A. The easiest one on this list.
Strength training: A. Muscle is the best investment you can make for your health long term. Non-negotiable, especially as we get older.
Sauna: B. I love it for relaxing and recovery, and the research is interesting, but it’s a bonus. Not the foundation.
Cold plunge: C. Love it if you love it. But if you’re stressed, not sleeping, and running on coffee, it’s not where I’d start.

Get the boring stuff right first. The fancy stuff can come later.

Creatine isn’t just for gym bros. Swipe for the 3 biggest myths 👉

The most researched supplement out there has been gatekept for years, so here’s class in session:

❌ It’s a steroid → ✅ Your body already makes it, in your kidneys and liver
❌ It makes you bulky → ✅ It pulls water into your muscle cells, which isn’t fat or bloat
❌ It’s only for gym bros → ✅ It’s one of the most studied supplements, being researched for muscle, strength, brain health and aging

More and more of that research is looking at women in their 30s, 40s and 50s.

But before you add anything, get the basics right first: protein, movement and sleep. Creatine works best on top of them, not instead of them.

📝 Pop quiz on slide 7: true or false, you have to do a loading phase for creatine to work? Tell me in the comments 👇

Save this for your next supplement run, and send it to the friend who still thinks creatine is “for the guys.”

Class dismissed. Consider yourself part of the conversation. 💚Follow for all things health and wellness!

The gym bros gatekept this one for years.

Class is in session: creatine, myth vs. fact.

Myth: it’s a steroid.
Fact: it’s not. Your body already makes it, and you get some from red meat and fish.

Myth: it makes you bulky.
Fact: it pulls water into your muscle cells. That’s not the same thing as bloating.

Myth: it’s only for the gym bros.
Fact: it’s one of the most studied supplements out there. It’s being researched for brain health and aging, and more and more of that research is looking at women.

Before you add anything, ask yourself:
Am I eating enough protein?
Am I moving my body?
Am I sleeping well?

Creatine works best stacked on top of the basics, not in place of them.

Pop quiz: true or false? You have to do a loading phase for creatine to work. Drop your answer below.

If your routine stopped paying you back somewhere in your 40s, read this before you blame yourself.

After 30, women can lose roughly 3, 8% of muscle mass per decade. That's not a character flaw, it's a signaling shift. Less muscle changes how your body reads fuel, which is part of why the exact plan that worked at 35 quietly stops working at 45.

Most women read that stall as "I've gotten lazy." It isn't laziness. It's a change in the body's signal, not a change in your effort. Your body at 40 is not the body you had at 25, and that's information, not a verdict.

Save this for the next morning the scale doesn't budge. It was never your effort.

I ate the exact same lunch for 200 days and told myself that was control.

Same container. Same measured portions. Weighed to the gram, logged before noon. I was proud of it, that rigidity felt like proof I was serious, disciplined, doing everything right.

But the tighter I gripped, the flatter everything got. Hunger, energy, the scale, all just… quiet. I kept reading the plateau as a reason to grip harder, when really the gripping was part of it.

Here's what I sat with much later: sometimes the thing you're most disciplined about is the thing quietly slowing your signals down. The control you're most proud of can be the thing your body is bracing against.

I'm not telling you to abandon structure. I'm telling you that white-knuckling a broken signal isn't the same as fixing it, and that took me an embarrassingly long time to admit.

If you've got a "lunch" of your own, the ritual you defend hardest, I'd love to hear it below. 👇

YOU ASKED, Why did stepping up my workouts make my progress worse, not better?

If you've cranked up your training and watched your body dig in *harder*, you're not imagining it, and you didn't fail.

Here's the loop nobody explains: harder training can raise cortisol. Cortisol can blunt insulin sensitivity. So your body can read "more effort" as "more stress", and it holds on tighter instead of letting go.

That's not a discipline problem. It's a signal misfire. Your body isn't broken and you didn't do it wrong, the message just got crossed.

Which is why the first move isn't more effort. It's understanding what your signals are actually doing, so the work you're already putting in has a body that can answer.

(Educational only, anything prescriptive is handled by a supervising physician.)

Save this for the next time the scale won't move, and tell me the question you want answered next. 💬

NAD+ is a molecule every cell in your body uses to turn food into fuel. It’s also involved in DNA repair and how your cells handle stress.

Here’s the catch: research shows NAD+ levels drop as we age. By your 40s, you may have noticeably less than you did in your 20s.

So when you’re doing everything right and still dragging by 2pm, that’s worth being part of the conversation.

NAD+ is being studied for its role in cellular energy, metabolism, and healthy aging. But “I saw it on Instagram” isn’t a plan. Labs and a provider who actually knows your history are.

Energy isn’t just about willpower. Sometimes it’s chemistry. 🧬
