Somebody had to build the infrastructure for America’s native caffeine, so we did.

Since 2011, we’ve developed every stage of yaupon production, from harvesting and roasting to packaging and shipping. We even engineered our own machinery when commercial equipment for yaupon didn’t exist.

Today, CatSpring stewards more Regenerative Organic Certified yaupon acreage than any other company and moves more yaupon than the rest of the category combined, supplying consumers, retailers, and fellow tea brands.

We’re proud of the role we’ve played in growing an industry that supports regenerative agriculture, creates jobs, and brings Texas-grown yaupon to more cups across the country.

As we welcome the autumnal equinox, we’re thinking about harvest in a bigger sense.

Yaupon has been growing on this land, tended and shared by Indigenous communities, for generations. Building CatSpring has given us the privilege of learning from that history and the responsibility to carry it forward with care.

This season, we’re grateful for what has grown, what we’ve learned, and everyone who has become part of the story along the way.

A story rooted in the land. 🌿

We loved welcoming Modern Pioneering with Georgia Pellegrini to CatSpring to explore yaupon, North America’s native caffeinated plant, and the much bigger story growing alongside it.

Yaupon connects us to generations of Indigenous knowledge, to the landscapes where it has grown for centuries, and to what restoration can look like when land, tradition, and community are considered together.

We’re proud to be one small part of bringing this plant back into everyday life while honoring the history that came long before us.
