Our department is a Cribs for Kids® partner which is a safe-sleep education and distribution program for families to help reduce the risk of injury and death of infants due to unsafe sleep environments. The program addresses specific situations dealing with socioeconomic issues such as crib affordability and cultural practices such as bed-sharing and secondhand smoke.
Crib Kits for eligible pregnant and newly delivered mothers feature a free portable Pack n' Play, crib sheet, pacifier and a swaddle sack.

📣 Attention North Border School District parents:

Pembina County Public Health will be at the Walhalla school next Tuesday, October 20, 2026, to give influenza and school-required immunizations. Every student received paperwork sent home to be filled out and returned to the school office if you request your child to be vaccinated.

💊Safe medication disposal now available in Drayton!

Drayton now has a permanent, secure medication disposal bin available to the community!

📍 Located at the former Hillier Tire building on Main Street.
🚗 Convenient drive-up access & snow removal throughout winter
🔒 Anonymous!

❎ Please do not place needles/syringes, thermometers, glass, or durable medical equipment in the bin.

This medication disposal option was made possible through our State Opioid Response (SOR) Grant and in partnership with the City of Drayton and Drayton Police Department.

If you have medications you no longer need, we encourage you to use this free community resource!
