The vibration plate has been getting a lot of attention lately, both good and bad!
It’s absolutely not going to help you lose weight! 😂
It may help temporarily increase circulation and blood flow, but it’s not some magic weight loss cure all tool. It’s a tool in your toolbox, not a replacement for movement, strength training, or recovery basics.
I personally use it before I work out. I’m up at 4:30 AM, right after rolling out of bed, so it’s a way to get moving, wake up my body, and focus on engaging my core, legs, calves, and glutes.
I’m also challenging myself to work up to a 60-second single-leg balance. Once I achieve that, my goal is to start doing it with my eyes closed.
If you’ve never tried balancing on one leg with your eyes closed, it’s INCREDIBLY hard. So might as well turn up the challenge a notch with some vibration! 😂
The takeaway? Stop looking for one tool to fix everything. Understand what it can and can’t do, use it with intention, and remember that the basics will always matter most.
