Molly Yacoub is our next Auxiliary Member Spotlight!

Molly has been a member of the Auxiliary for three years and has served as a Co-Leader throughout that time.

Molly previously worked as a nurse practitioner and has spent the past 20 years focused on her family and community involvement. She enjoys spending time with her children, volunteering at her youngest son's school, and serving at her parish, St. Pius.

In addition to her involvement with the Mercy community, Molly is active throughout Cedar Rapids, volunteering as a Linn County Elections poll worker.

In her free time, Molly enjoys reading, cooking, and caring for her plants and flowers.

Our first Auxiliary Member Spotlight is Joyce Klimes!

Joyce currently serves as Co-Leader of the Auxiliary and has been a member for approximately 35 years. A retired school teacher, she spent many of her summers volunteering in outpatient surgery and has been a dedicated Mercy volunteer for more than 40 years.

One fun fact Joyce shared is that the Auxiliary used to host a luncheon and style show twice a year. Over the years, those events transitioned into beloved fundraising traditions like the Mistletoe Market and Spring Bazaar, continuing the Auxiliary's legacy of supporting the hospital and its patients.

When she's not volunteering, Joyce and her husband, Don, enjoy traveling, following Hawkeye sports, and trying new recipes together.
