Today's spotlight is on the Pharmacy Technician role. Veterinary technicians help ensure patients receive the right medications, at the right dose, at the right time. From filling prescriptions and preparing medications to reviewing treatment plans and educating pet owners, they play a critical role in keeping our patients healthy and on the road to recovery.
While much of their work happens behind the scenes, pharmacy technicians help make sure every patient leaves with the medications and instructions needed for the best possible outcome.

Veterinary technicians perform a variety of in-house diagnostic tests that help our veterinarians quickly evaluate a patient's health and make informed treatment decisions. From running bloodwork and urinalyses to preparing samples and maintaining laboratory equipment, they are a critical part of the diagnostic process. Laboratory work may happen behind the scenes, but it plays a vital role in helping us provide the best possible care for our patients.

From anesthesia monitoring and surgical support to patient nursing and client education, their skills, knowledge, and compassion are essential to our team.

To kick off today's spotlight, we treated our hardworking staff to mini muffins as a small token of our appreciation! 🧁

Val, LVT and Dr. Littleson had a wonderful opportunity to attend the ACVS Surgery Summit, where veterinary professionals from across the country came together to learn, collaborate, and explore the latest advancements in veterinary surgery.

🐾❤️ Cedar Animal Hospital All-Staff Meeting Day! ❤️🐾

Today, our team came together for our all-staff meeting to connect, learn, and continue growing as we work to provide the best care for our patients and clients.

A special thank you to Em’s Bread & Co for the delicious donation of cinnamon rolls! They were the perfect treat to start our day and were enjoyed by our entire team.

We are so grateful for the support of local businesses and for the amazing staff who make Cedar Animal Hospital such a wonderful place every day. 💚

I'm sure most of you have seen her around already, but please welcome our newest DVM, Dr. Kayla Gilstorff! 🎉🐾

Dr. Gilstorff recently completed her veterinary degree and officially joins the Cedar Animal Hospital team as a veterinarian. Before veterinary school, she worked in veterinary medicine for more than 5 years, building a strong foundation of experience and compassion that she brings to every patient she cares for.

Her professional interests include surgery and exotic animal medicine. She has a special soft spot for cats (with a special shoutout to Franny! 🐱).

Many of you may already recognize Dr. Gilstorff from seeing her around the clinic, and we're excited for her to continue growing with our team. Please join us in congratulating her on this incredible accomplishment and welcoming her as one of Cedar Animal Hospital's veterinarians!
