Opinions are like …. Most of you know the rest of that sentence.

I have opinions as well.

The spiritual community is filled with just as much bu****it as the rest of the world.

The onus of figuring out what bu****it you resonate with and what bu****it you don’t resonate with, is on you as the consumer of information.

Here’s what you need to know about opinions (which, in and of itself, is an opinion 🤣):

ALL opinions are influenced by the trauma, joy, sadness, grief, happiness, success, failure and total experiences of the person wielding the opinion.

If I am asked my opinion, I will share my opinion publicly in a gentle way.

Why gentle you may ask?

If I come at it from a firey perspective, it’s a defensive position because someone has challenged my beliefs.

If I am firey about it, it’s because I feel like my safety is in jeopardy.

And guess what that means?

My trauma is going to slime everyone who is in earshot of my firey opinion.

And that means I’m continuing the circle of trauma that I no longer want to participate in.

It has to stop somewhere.

It starts with me.

Sooooo… if you’re still here with me thus far, do your research on spiritual teachers and practitioners.

Find out where they were educated. Then research that institution to see if you are in alignment with those beliefs.

Just because it’s on social media doesn’t mean it’s true. Doesn’t mean it’s valuable and doesn’t mean YOU have to do it.

Discernment is the key.

It starts with you.
