Simplified Lifestyle Coaching I help women who struggle with perimenopausal mood swings feel normal again so they can actually enjoy life. Get my free Protein Guide... link below!

I help women over 40 escape the physical and emotional chaos of hormonal changes using a holistic approach, so they can feel like themselves again and fully embrace this stage of life. As a board-certified functional medicine health coach, I believe women shouldn’t have to struggle with anxiety, brain fog, depression, or stubborn weight gain. You deserve to feel strong, steady, and like yourself again. And it starts with how you fuel your body. If you’ve been feeling anxious, exhausted, and like your body is working against you, you’re not alone. This isn’t just aging—it’s the menopause transition. And it’s your body asking for support. That’s why I created The Protein Fix—a simple starting point to help you feel better quickly. Protein is one of the most powerful nutrients for maintaining steady energy, promoting balanced moods, enhancing focus, and keeping you feeling full throughout your day. I wish I had this kind of guide when I was trying to make sense of what was happening to my mind and body. Once I started fueling myself with what I actually needed, everything shifted. You’re not crazy. You’re not failing. And you’re definitely not alone. Let’s help you feel like you again.

Have you ever forgotten something important and thought, “What is wrong with me?!” 🙋‍♀️

That was me when I completely forgot my son’s dentist appointment, even though it was on my calendar AND I got multiple reminders!

I was so frustrated with myself because this wasn’t like me. I’ve always been the organized one who keeps track of everything.

Lately, not so much.

During perimenopause, changes in our hormones, sleep, and stress levels can affect our memory, focus, and ability to manage everyday responsibilities.

When we’re used to being the ones who keep everything running, it’s easy to beat ourselves up when we drop the ball.

On this week’s episode of You’re Not Crazy! It’s Perimenopause, executive function coach Krisler Bailey and I talk about why everyday tasks can feel harder and what we can do to help make it easier.

It might have something to do with your executive functioning skills!

Menopause is technically ONE day. But the symptoms can last for YEARS.

Happy World Menopause Day! 🎉

Here’s something many women don’t realize…

Menopause is officially reached when you’ve gone 12 consecutive months and a day without a menstrual period. Everything leading up to that milestone is called perimenopause, and the years that follow are postmenopause.

While menopause is a natural part of life, the symptoms that come with this transition can be anything but pleasant. 😫

Anxiety, mood swings, sleepless nights, brain fog, joint pain, stubborn weight gain, and exhaustion.

Here’s what frustrates me…

Millions of women are going through the change, yet far too many are being told their symptoms are just part of getting older, or they’re leaving doctor’s appointments without the answers and support they deserve.

That’s a problem.

Women deserve better education, conversations, and healthcare during this stage of life.

There are things you can start doing TODAY to help support your body through perimenopause and into post menopause.

Eating enough protein, protecting your sleep, building muscle, and finding simple ways to calm your nervous system can make a big difference in how you feel.

You don’t have to overhaul your entire life. Start with one small change and build from there.

Menopause isn’t the end of feeling good in your body. It’s another chapter, and you can feel amazing through it.

Not sure where to start? Start with protein!

Getting enough protein is one of the simplest ways to support your body, manage cravings, and boost energy.

I’ve created a FREE Protein Guide to help you understand how much protein you need and simple ways to get more of it into your meals.

Comment “PROTEIN” below for the guide! 🧡

Are you eating enough protein at each meal?

One thing I show women in perimenopause is how to get at least 30 grams of protein at each meal.

Why 30 grams?

Protein provides essential amino acids, including leucine, which plays an important role in stimulating muscle building and repair.

As we get older, maintaining muscle becomes even more important.

Protein does so much more than help us maintain muscle!

It can also play an important role in our mood, energy, and cravings.

Here’s why:

Protein takes longer to digest than many refined carbohydrates, helping us feel fuller for longer.

Pairing protein with carbohydrates can slow digestion and support a steadier blood sugar response.

Why does that matter?

Because those rapid rises and falls in blood sugar can leave us tired, hungry, irritable, and reaching for something sweet for a quick energy boost.

Protein also provides amino acids our bodies use to make neurotransmitters, including serotonin and dopamine, which help regulate our mood.

So if you’re constantly feeling hungry, craving sweets, or experiencing those afternoon energy crashes, take a look at how much protein you’re eating throughout the day.

Sometimes it’s not about eating less. It’s about eating enough of the foods your body needs.

That’s one of the reasons I teach the Balanced Plate Method!

Not sure what 30 grams of protein actually looks like on your plate?

I’ve created a FREE Protein Guide to help you understand how much protein you need and how to start adding more to your meals without overcomplicating things.

Eating enough protein doesn’t have to be difficult, and a few simple changes can make a difference in how you feel throughout the day.

Ladies…if you’re over 40, strength training needs to be a priority! 💪

As we get older, we naturally begin to lose muscle mass, which can impact our strength, bone health, balance, and ability to stay active as we age.

Did you know that strength training can also play an important role in supporting your pelvic health?

Strengthening your core, hips, glutes, and lower body can help support pelvic floor function, improve stability, and keep you moving confidently as you age.

My guest, Dr. Kirsten DesMarais, Doctor of Physical Therapy, joined me on the podcast to talk about the importance of strength training, pelvic health, and finding the right provider to support you during perimenopause and menopause.

One of her best recommendations is to look for a pelvic health provider who understands perimenopause and menopause.

Check a potential provider’s website or bio to see if they specialize in perimenopause/menopause. And if it’s not listed, don’t be afraid to call and ask!

Finding someone who understands what your body is going through and is passionate about helping women in midlife can make a HUGE difference.

Aging well is about staying strong, active, and independent so we can keep doing the things we love!

Have you ever sneezed, coughed, laughed, or exercised and accidentally peed a little? 😳

It’s called stress urinary incontinence, and for many women, it can seem to come out of nowhere.

During perimenopause, fluctuating estrogen levels can affect the tissues that support your bladder and urethra, making leaks more noticeable, especially when you cough, sneeze, or exercise.

You might even wonder, “Why is this happening? And is it just going to keep getting worse?”

In this week’s episode of You’re Not Crazy! It’s Perimenopause, Dr. Kirsten DesMarais explains why this can happen and what you can do about it.

If you’re struggling with this, know that you don’t have to live with it.

I spent years wondering why I felt so awful when I thought I was doing all the right things.

I was exhausted, anxious, depressed, and struggling with my weight, and I wasn’t getting the answers or guidance I needed.

It wasn’t until I started looking at the bigger picture and making changes to my lifestyle that I finally started feeling like myself again.

And here’s what I didn’t know at the time... I was also in perimenopause!

That experience changed my life and is a big part of why I created The Hormone Reset Project.

I don’t want you spending years trying to figure out what your body needs.

Over 6 weeks, we’ll focus on nutrition, sleep, movement, and stress management, with the coaching and accountability to help you actually put these habits into practice so you can get relief.

We start October 8th, and enrollment closes tomorrow!

I really wish someone had told 40-year-old me that what I was experiencing could be connected to perimenopause.

I spent a lot of time wondering what was wrong with me and trying to figure out why I suddenly felt so different.

What I eventually learned changed not only how I took care of myself, but the direction of my life.

And now I hear from women all the time who are feeling the same way I did.

Exhausted, anxious, irritable, foggy- brained, and struggling with their weight.

And wondering, “Why don’t I feel like myself anymore?”

Your changing hormones matter, but so does how you’re supporting your body through those changes.

That’s exactly why I created The Hormone Reset Project.

If you know you need to do something differently but you’re overwhelmed by all the conflicting information and don’t know where to start, I’ve got you.

Over 6 weeks, we’ll get back to the basics your body needs in perimenopause.

We’ll work on creating balanced meals to support your blood sugar, energy, cravings, and mood.

We’ll focus on getting better sleep, creating a gentle fasting routine, adding in movement and strength training, and finding simple ways to manage stress and calm your nervous system.

We will work on these things one step at a time so you can actually put them into practice in your real life.

Plus, you’ll have my coaching and support throughout the entire 6 weeks. You won’t be left trying to figure it all out on your own.

If you know you need to do something differently but you’re overwhelmed by all the conflicting information and don’t know where to start, I’ve got you.

The Hormone Reset Project starts October 8th.
