Symbols like animals pop up in my art and Reiki world all the time. The wolf is believed by some to be a symbol of courage, wisdom, and insight.

When combined with the pink and gold background, the moon, and the woman, I think the wolf is howling in celebration. Maybe this woman finally trusts her own wisdom and insight, and it’s something to howl about.

To me, pink represents unconditional love and gold represents higher wisdom. How beautifully they are flowing into and around her!

Art is a beautiful thing, and the symbolism of it all makes me heart happy. The best part about art is that it can take on different meanings over time, the longer you look at a piece.

We need all the tools we can get to manage anxiety and stress in this world we live in. I’m no stranger to having an anxious nervous system. One of the tools that helps me is Reiki. I love it so much I sought out training to teach it to others. I’m going to teach how to give reiki to yourself and your family in an online class this Fall. It’s no secret that my art and Reiki practice are completely intertwined. ✨ When I give Reiki, it’s like the back of my eyelids becomes a movie screen filled with colors and symbols.

This morning, while focusing on the space of the womb (our center of creativity) a purple crow appeared in my mind’s eye.

It brought me back to this painting. Crows are highly intelligent creatures, often symbolizing deep wisdom and transformation. Combined with the sacral energy of birth and creativity, it feels like a beautiful nudge from above.

It’s given me so much to sit with today: How can I pour more love into my creativity to help it expand and transform?

It’s no secret that my art and Reiki practice are completely intertwined. When I give Reiki, it’s like the back of my eyelids becomes a movie screen filled with colors and symbols.
I capture the colors and symbols in a custom painting every time I give reiki.

I’ve been in a funk the past week and gave myself reiki to help. See all the green? I’ve never had this before.

In my world of color, green = growth and abundance. This made me breathe a sigh of relief. Of course I was in a funk! I am in a growing season, which are often sticky and funky.

I found great comfort knowing that I was supported while I grow into my next chapter.

It’s amazing how reiki and art combined can be just the medicine we need. I’m going to be thinking and meditating about green a lot this week as a way to remind myself that growth is good (even when it’s funky).

You can change your energy and that of your home. You can restore your connection to the Universe and something greater.

Surround yourself with visual reminders like symbolic paintings that are meaningful to you.

Incorporate vibrant colors in your daily life with intention.

A busy, loud world demands that we deliberately and regularly nourish our spirits and homes.

It is possible. I’m a deeply feeling person, and art and reiki have consistently restored balance in my life.

I don’t make art to decorate a wall. I make art that changes the energy of a space.
