I arrived prepared to be Princess Leia. I left with a new assignment: Mr. Freeze. 🥶😂

In between, Star Wars was cancelled because of a bad dream, Batman got the green light, and Grammy learned that her Halloween costume plans were apparently subject to approval by a very small creative director.

The light sabers survived the cancellation, though. Priorities!

✨ **When Grammy’s magic suitcase opens, you never quite know what’s going to come out.** ✨

This time? **Light sabers.** ⚔️💫

A few straws, some colorful lights, a glue gun, and a little Jedi imagination turned into a full-blown light saber factory.

And then Grammy suggested making some for friends…

Well. Let’s just say **sharing the good-guy lasers required a little Jedi training of its own.** 😂

Come see what happens when Grammy, Paddington, and a very fascinated little Jedi get creative.

Apparently, when you’re Grammy, even a trip to Buffalo can turn into a FT adventure. 🦬

Add a curious little guy, a trash gripper, a cat, Paddington Bear, and a little bit of Buffalo spirit… and you’ve got a story worth sharing.

Here’s “Shuffling Off to Buffalo.” ❤️

When the destination comes with its own entertainment

A few years ago a study was done to explore the question of does what you feed your baby affect their sleep. Long story short, they found it didn’t.

Babies continue to wake up throughout the first year for many different reasons, just like adults. But what you feed them doesn’t affect it.

There was no difference in how often babies age 6 - 12 months woke up depending on whether they were breast or formula fed or how much solid food they had in the day. Breastfed babies did feed more at night but that’s most likely because breastfeeding is an easy way to get babies back to sleep. The babies who weren’t breastfeeding still woke up.

Adults wake during the night for all sorts of reasons, none of them to do with food (although some adults will still go get a snack). Babies are the same, but need more help getting back to sleep again.

Among babies 6-12 months old:
79% still regularly wake once a night
61% still feed once a night
No difference in waking between breast milk or formula fed babies
No link between amount of solids during the day and waking at night
