We were on the air again this morning with Jed & JR, Talk Radio 102.3, talking a little more about Autism and answering questions from the community.
Don Mueller, President and CEO at Siskin Children's Institute and Alison Singer, Co-founder and President Autism Science Foundation teamed up once again to inform families about the resources available here in Chattanooga, TN, combined with some research backed feedback from our special guest.
Don shared how Siskin has reduced the medical diagnosis waitlist from 13 months to just 3 months, expanded therapy services to include Physical Therapy, and developed new partnerships that will help Siskin reach and support even more children and families.
Alison highlighted two unique research studies currently underway and discussed how this work could potentially lead to new treatments and approaches for children in the future.
Both Don and Alison emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and intervention, along with ABA therapy when appropriate, in helping children build skills, improve outcomes, and reach their full potential.
