Super busy Monday for us!
The boys had school, and I hopped on a call with Assemblyman Brian Manktelow, Chris Hildebrant, executive director of the Rochester Spinal Association, and Vaughn Pembroke, who is also living with a spinal cord injury. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share our experiences with SCI and talk about what we believe are the biggest barriers right now. There’s so much that needs to change, and conversations like these matter.
After school, we headed straight to Nazareth University for PT, where Tanner worked on using a bed ladder to pull himself up and then lower himself back down. So much effort goes into movements we once never thought twice about. Watching him keep working at them never gets old.
From there, it was straight to Dominic’s pre-op appointment for his upcoming wisdom tooth removal surgery. By the time we finished, it was after 5, and with a bit of a drive home ahead of us, we stopped at Hokkaido Ramen House - Victor for dinner. A chance to sit, eat, and catch our breath together!
A full day, with a whole lot more ahead of us this week. Hopefully tomorrow we can finally start packing for Austin! 🧳
