🍂 New seasons bring new growth.

As of October 1st, our wonderful co-founder, Tina, has stepped away from her co-ownership role at The Juniper House.

The last five years have brought incredible milestones, but life has also thrown its share of curveballs for both of us. Through it all, God has shown her that sometimes we have to let go of certain things to allow new seasons to truly flourish.

While her role is changing, Tina isn't going far! She is still supporting The Juniper House 100% and will continue to connect clients and referrals to The Juniper House. Most excitingly, she will continue to run Tina the Postpartum Doula and remain affiliated with us as a trusted practitioner.

We are so incredibly grateful for everything Tina has poured into building this space, and we can’t wait to watch her thrive in this next chapter. Please join us in sending her so much love and appreciation!

Scissor grip or C-hold? Let’s bust a common breastfeeding myth! 🤱✨

Many new parents are told to hold the breast with two fingers like a pair of scissors, but this grip can actually work against you. It easily slips toward the ar**la, pinching milk ducts and stopping your baby’s lower jaw from getting that deep, pain-free latch.

Instead, try a C-hold or U-hold:

Keep your fingers well back from the ar**la (at least 1–2 inches).
Shape the breast gently like a sandwich, parallel to your baby's lips.
Give that little chin full room to dig in deep!
Small tweaks make all the difference in making nursing feel natural and comfortable. Save this post for your nursing journey, and tag an expecting mama who needs to hear this today! 💕
