A passionate porch chat in my robe…but in all seriousness, I’ve had some version of this conversation with SO many of you lately that I felt like it needed to be shared.
And I speak from personal experience. All my close friends know I’m all about eating. If I wait too long, I lose my concentration, word recall and endurance, but most notably for others, the HANGER sets in.
After that, I simply feel awful, and that’s a much more challenging place to bounce back from.
Sound familiar at all?
But when I eat breakfast, I have a significantly higher chance of getting done what I need to get done in a day…and not just holding on by a thread, but actually doing those things with presence and letting my skills shine.
Does that mean every single person needs to eat a giant breakfast at 7 AM? Nope. Hunger, health, medications, schedule, sleep, activity and individual needs matter.
What I am suggesting is this: if you’re skipping food most of the day, feeling shaky/foggy/exhausted by afternoon, eating heavily at night and waking up feeling lousy…maybe it’s worth questioning whether that rhythm is actually serving you.
And for context, my comments about digestive fire in the video come from the Ayurvedic framework I use in my work.
Thoughts?
