Have you noticed that your co-pay for medicines has increased? Kansas has recently made mandatory for Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) pay every pharmacy (local independents and large chain stores) a $10.50 dispensing fee. This cuts into the PBM’s profits. To off set this, the PBM increases your co-pay, making you pay more.

Pharmacies have no control over co-pays. Just to repeat, pharmacies have no control over co-pays. It is the PBM’s method of protecting their profits by making you pay more.
