It's PT Month, and there's no better time to introduce the pediatric PTs who make Coral Care special, starting with Julie, who brings 27 years of experience and a lot of heart.

Her perspective is shaped by parenting a child of her own with unique needs, and it shows up in how she connects with every family. No two days look the same, and she loves watching kids reach their potential (bonus points for an obstacle course).

Providers like Julie are what make Coral Care special, bringing PT, OT, and SLP support right to your door. Ready to see what's possible? Families can find care at coralcare.com, and providers looking for a better way to work can learn more at growwithcoral.com.

As kids get older, the things they’re expected to manage multiply fast: backpacks, handwriting, homework, getting started, remembering what they need, keeping track of their stuff, getting out the door.

Sometimes a kid is completely capable of doing the work, but the getting themselves through it part is exhausting.

Occupational therapy can support executive functioning, fine motor skills, regulation, routines, and independence, so everyday life takes a little less effort.

🎃 Trick-or-treating is magical. But for some kids, it can also be A LOT.

The costumes that feel scratchy. The doorbells. The spooky decorations. The unexpected sounds. The pressure to say “trick-or-treat” to someone they've never met.

There's a lot to navigate before you even get to the candy.

So we created something to help. 💜

**Meet *My Halloween Story*, a FREE printable social story designed to help kids know what to expect when they go trick-or-treating.**

Through colorful illustrations and simple, child-friendly language, kids can explore what happens on Halloween, practice different ways to communicate (including using their talker!), and learn that it's always okay to take a break.

There's even a personalized Halloween Plan so they can choose what helps them feel comfortable.

Because a successful Halloween doesn't have to mean visiting every house or staying out all night. It can mean trying something new, asking for help, or simply having fun in their own way.

👻 **Comment STORY and we'll send you the link to download your free printable!**

Save this for Halloween prep, and share it with a parent, teacher, OT, or SLP who might love it.

There’s picky eating, and then there’s eating that starts to take over family life.

Maybe the list of accepted foods keeps getting shorter. Maybe textures are hard, chewing seems like work, or trying something new feels genuinely overwhelming.

Feeding therapy can help kids build the oral motor, sensory, and feeding skills they need to feel safer and more confident around food, without turning every meal into a battle.

Your backyard is a free sensory playground right now 🍂

Let your child take the lead on this one. Sort treasures by color or size, count acorns into a cup, or bury something and see if they can find it without looking. Every pinch, pour, and search quietly works on the skills they use every day, from buttoning a coat to following directions. Add a few spooky surprises like fake spiders for extra giggles 🎃

If any of those everyday skills feel tricky for your child, Coral Care brings OT, PT, and SLP support right to your door. Learn more at coralcare.com

Sometimes it’s not that a child won’t ride the bike, climb the playground, take the stairs, or keep up with everyone else. Their body may be working a lot harder to do it.

Pediatric physical therapists help kids build strength, balance, coordination, and motor skills through movement and play.

The goal isn’t to create the fastest kid on the playground. It’s to help your kid feel more confident using their body in the ways they want to.

That bin of squishies in your kid's room can do a lot more than sit on a shelf.

Try a squeeze challenge: count out squeezes with one hand, switch sides, then go two-handed. It's a sneaky way to work on the grip and hand strength kids need for things like holding a pencil or opening a snack.

Ready to get them moving? Tuck squishies around the living room and send your child on a hunt. Crawling under the table, stretching to reach, and carrying their finds back gives their whole body the input it craves.

And for tougher moments, keep a few in a cozy basket. Squeezing tight while breathing in, then letting go slowly while breathing out, can help little bodies settle and reset.

Simple toys, big growth. If you're curious how everyday play can support your child's development, Coral Care brings pediatric OT, PT, and SLP support right to your door. Learn more at coralcare.com.

Babies develop on their own timelines, but sometimes there are little things that make you wonder: Should they be doing this yet?

Pediatric OT, PT, and speech therapy can support skills like rolling, sitting, crawling, walking, playing, eating, and communicating. And you don’t need to know which kind of therapist your child needs before asking the question.

That’s our job.

Repetition is one of the most powerful tools for building language. 💬

Kids learn words by hearing them again and again during moments that already feel fun, like blowing bubbles, popping them, and chasing them together. The more your child hears a word in different moments, the sooner they'll understand it and start using it themselves.

Gillian, one of our SLPs, shares this simple strategy with the families she works with. No flashcards. No drills. Just meaningful repetition woven into play.

Looking for more ways to support your child's communication? Coral Care brings in-home speech, occupational, and physical therapy right to your door.
