Every patient deserves access to cancer education in the language that feels most familiar and comfortable to them.

As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, we're reflecting on an important milestone for the Foundation for Women's Cancer (FWC).

In April 2026, FWC proudly hosted its first Patient & Advocate Education Forum presented entirely in Spanish and its first forum held in Puerto Rico. Together with local experts and advocates, we created a space where patients and caregivers could connect, ask questions, and access trusted information about gynecologic cancer.

From understanding treatment options to navigating clinical trials, access to reliable information helps empower patients to take an active role in their care.

Every patient deserves access to information when they need it most.
Cada paciente merece tener acceso a información cuando más la necesita.

Introducing Let’s Talk! Thursday, a new series from the Foundation for Women’s Cancer focused on important conversations about gynecologic cancer, prevention, treatment, and survivorship. 💜

This week, we’re discussing how cancer treatment can affect sexual health.
From changes in desire and intimacy to vaginal health concerns, these effects are an important part of the patient experience and deserve attention, understanding, and care.

Swipe through to learn about potential changes and topics to discuss with your healthcare team.

Your concerns matter. Your questions deserve answers. If you’re experiencing changes in your sexual health during or after treatment, consider bringing them up with your healthcare team. You deserve information, support, and care that address your quality of life.

Knowledge. Connection. Community. 💜

Our Patient & Advocate Education Forum in Washington, D.C. during Race weekend, brought patients, survivors, caregivers, advocates, and experts together for a day of learning and support.

From educational discussions to conversations with resource partners and one another, these moments reflect the heart of the Foundation for Women’s Cancer’s mission: helping people affected by gynecologic cancer feel informed, supported, and connected.

Thank you to our speakers, partners, and everyone who joined us and shared their experiences.

🎥 Watch the highlights, and follow FWC for educational resources, upcoming events, and ways to stay involved.

Your health matters, and your voice deserves to be heard. Knowing what questions to ask and how to share your concerns can help you take an active role in your gynecologic health.

At your next appointment, remember to:
Write your symptoms down.
Bring questions.
Trust what your body is telling you.
Don’t minimize your concerns.
Get a second opinion if needed.

If something doesn’t feel right, speak up. Staying informed, asking questions and having open conversations with your healthcare provider are important steps in caring for your health.

Know your body. Ask questions. Advocate for your health.

Sometimes, starting the conversation is as simple as sending a text.

Talking about your family’s cancer history may feel difficult, but sharing what you know can help you and your loved ones better understand your health. Knowing your family history can also help you have informed conversations with your healthcare provider about your risk and any recommended screenings.

You don’t have to know all the answers to start the conversation. Ask questions, share what you know, and keep the conversation going.

Health literacy starts with conversations that help us better understand our health and take steps toward advocating for ourselves and the people we love.

Today, send one text.
Start the conversation. Share what you know. Text it forward.

Is abnormal bleeding just part of getting older?

Many people don't realize that bleeding after menopause is never considered normal and should always be discussed with a healthcare provider, even if it happens only once.

Understanding what’s normal and what isn’t is an important step toward recognizing symptoms, seeking care, and advocating for better outcomes.

Health information can feel overwhelming, but it doesn't have to.

This October, we're celebrating Health Literacy Month by making conversations around gynecologic health easier, clearer, and more approachable.

Throughout the month you'll learn:
Questions to ask your doctor
How to talk with family about health history
Symptoms everyone should know
Ways to advocate for yourself

Because knowledge doesn't eliminate cancer—but it can lead to earlier detection, more informed decisions, and better outcomes.

Let's learn together.
